"We have just had the most wonderful stay at Gwynfa. It really felt like a home from home; it was clean, comfortable and extremely well equipped. "Beautiful! Great facilities, especially suited for families with older children. Open stairs not good for very young children I'd say. Centrally located and benefiting from being close by to lots of cafes, restaurants, pubs etc but also a very quiet end of town next to the river. Lovely walk to the wildlife centre and Poppit Sands is a 10 minute drive. The best beach ever for soft buttery sand and no rocks or stones. We enjoyed a lovely swim here. "This hotel is a right little gem in the heart of Barmouth. It’s such an easy review as everything was perfect and I would come back to Barmouth just to stay here. Staff so pleasant and welcoming and the room was wanting for nothing. We didn’t eat here but that’s something to look forward to next time. "
