"Fantastic gem of a hotel. It’s a historic 3 story house, sort of like a B&B feel. You check yourself in using a code you get prior to arrival and get an actual key for your room (not a card). The first floor is the restaurant which was AMAZING. Such good drinks and the food was so fresh and good, 5 star plating and taste. The room was really cool. Was in room 4, it has a separate bedroom and sitting room. Built in 1908 so yes, you can hear other people walking around in other rooms and stairs but not a big deal. No elevator that I saw so be prepared to carry bags up. Staff was sooo nice, especially the bartender, super friendly and kept the conversation going. Mike (the owner?) had homemade granola in the room and yogurt, cheese and fruit in the fridge for breakfast. Bed was soft and super comfy. Just a couple blocks from the main scene downtown and 4 blocks from the lake. Would 100% stay here again! "

"Spacious, clean rooms. Quiet but very convenient location with lovely landscaping and ample parking to an excellent and well-kept laundromat, cafes/restaurants, and near the trendy waterfront area. Would stay here again."

"What a gem! Our suite was so clean and spacious! Amenities in the room are great, and there was plenty of bedding, pillows, and towels for 4 adults and 2 kids. The decorations are spot on and the renovations that have been done to the room were beautiful. We will stay here every trip to Coeur d’Alene!"

"It was amazing, everything was just as described if not better! the main Cabin was really cool and although seeming small it was very spacious! The hot tub was great and so was the lake access!"

"We had an absolutely amazing time at the Blackwell Inn. Check-in was super easy with texts, as it is all self-check-in. They give ample details so we weren’t left wondering about anything. Parking was street parking, though we never walked more than a quarter block, but often was right in front of the hotel. The location is walking distance to everything we wanted and needed, so we barely drove anywhere. But the best part of the Blackwell Inn is the house and the rooms. It is gorgeous and has such an amazing feel. We loved our large room with its super comfortable king size bed and own bathroom. It felt like a small apartment, we never felt cramped. We would stay again in a heartbeat. I can’t speak to the breakfast offered every morning, as we are early risers and we were off before breakfast was offered at 9:00. Though it did smell amazing when we returned. And as it was included, I do wish we would have eaten at least one breakfast. Overall, the only negative I can say is the floor creaked, which was actually charming with the lovely wood floors. We had a fantastic experience. "

"Location was perfect and staff was wonderful! Having an assigned spot right in front of our room was great for unloading/loading. It was also nice for the pups too, no stairs to go up/down and grassy areas just outside of the property. "
