"We had a family get together with 14 of us ranging from 8 to 72. Between the ice fishing, outdoor area, and game room there was plenty for everyone to do. The cabin was very clean and well equipped with everything you would need. It was a fun, relaxing winter getaway. "
Knife Edge Escape - Cozy Lakeside Cottage Getaway with Views of Mt. Katahdin

"Host was communicative and made sure we were all set with our needs. House is lovely and view was amazing, even in the clouds and snow! Location was perfect for us - close to Knife's Edge Brewing and River Driver's restaurant. Also an easy drive along the snow covered Golden Road to Abol Bridge for a breathtaking view of Mt. Katahdin. Spotted a lone coyote along the Golden Road and a healthy red fox crossed the frozen lake just near the house. No moose on this trip but it was a quick trip. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to a friend. "

Charming home with pool table, foosball & HOA beach/dock on Moosehead Lake
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful stay at this property. The home was clean, and had ample room for the 7 of us. The kitchen was adequate and had all the necessary cutlery and crockery. There was a grill on the deck outside. We enjoyed sitting by the fireplace. The youngster ( 21 yrs old) in our group enjoyed playing all the games in the lower level. I have to mention: we did not have a view of the lake. We had to drive to the lake. And the floorboards upstairs creaked a lot . The staircase too. As well as the bedroom door and the bathroom door upstairs. It disturbed all who slept downstairs. This can easily be taken care of by adding a few rugs and tread pads, and oiling the hinges of the doors. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay. Thank you to the hosts , for making it a comfortable home for your guests. Will definitely recommend. "
Lakefront cabin on First Roach Pond with dock, lake view & firepit- dog-friendly

"We were initially disappointed that there was no flexibility for an early check-in. We arrived early to beat the rain (a five hour ride). Admittedly, it was presumptuous to expect that if the house was clean and vacant we would be given that courtesy. However, it was clear that there would be no deviation from the “no early check-in” rule. Instead, we sat in the car in the rain with two dogs for 2.5 hours outside the vacant house. What added insult to injury was when the clock finally struck 4pm the code on the keypad didn't work (from previous reviews it appears this isn’t the first time). this would have been a small inconvenience had we been able to call Vacasa (the home is rented through Vacasa) directly using the provided internet information (there is no cell service, we had to connect through wi-fi) but the wi-fi credentials provided with check-in information were incorrect which necessitated a second trip down the muddy, rutted road in the rain to connect to the Wi-fi at the Kokadjo trading post to call. We were provided the lock box code which could have been given to us earlier had there been some accommodation given the circumstances. The cabin did not disappoint, it was as described - comfortable and well appointed. One last word - the water level was very low due to lack of rain this summer, before the dam was released. There was two feet of water at the end of the dock. I had to walk my canoe with motor 200 feet from shore with hip boots order to fish. "
"The place was very nice and had a good setup and location. The fire pit is great. The views of the lake and sunset are great. The kitchen is setup well. Having 3 full bathrooms is a big plus. We enjoyed our stay and would book again.Suggestions for improvement: There were spiderwebs throughout the house and the fans could use a good dusting. The glass on the showers do not seal well, so the bathroom floor would get wet. There were not many towels provided. Two of the three bed rooms are very hot at night since they do not have a source of cool air. We found it unreasonable to have to haul our garbage 17 minutes down the road to a dumpster instead of just putting it in a garbage can on the location like we have at every other VRBO that we have stayed at. They will charge a minimum of 100 if any trash is left at the house which seems ridiculous with how much the cleaning and service fees are. The amount for the cleaning and service fees seem high in general especially since they say they will charge additional fees if x, y, and z are not done before you leave. The water access could be better marked. Right now, you walk through a construction site and across the lawn of another house which makes you think you're trespassing. A sign by the road for the path would be a nice addition. I did not detract any stars for any of this because this is just me being nitpicky. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend others to stay here."
"My family and my brothers family shared the house for the week and it was awesome.1. Everyone thought the house was beautiful, comfortable and amazing. Adequate seating no matter where you choose to gather. Plenty big, bright with great views and breezes.2. Being off the grid was cool, and even my skeptical brother had to admit you’d never have known it was off the grid. Electrical, wifi, etc. were flawless.3. House was very clean and well appointed. Some unexpected highlights were extra propane for the grill, brand new (and high-end) Adirondack chairs on house deck and lower deck/fire pit area, first aid supplies, cocktail-sized ice cube trays, recently renovated bathrooms and floors.4. Deck wrapped around entire house and provided amazing views.5. The property was top notch. Boat ramp. Kayaks and canoes racked neatly near the place to launch them. Life jackets if you needed them. Lower dock/beach for swimming and readying paddle craft.6. Main dock was brand new and lit at night. It was a high dock - perfect for pontoon boats, more challenging to tie up our bowrider and fishing boat but workable.7. Fire pit, lower deck by dock and “lawn area” were great and it was actually a nice thing having that part of the property separate from the house. It allowed the group to split up and do different things.8. Walking the shoreline to the nearby points was a favorite activity.9. Andrew was a thoughtful and responsive host.Highly recommend."
