"The views were incredible, the trout ponds were fascinating, we took a fishing lesson on our first day and thoroughly enjoyed it. The cafe is super convenient and all the staff were friendly and approachable! Our only hang up was that the mattresses were a little uncomfortable and the accommodation wasn't kitted out very well for cooking dinner so we ate out and got a couple of easy ready meals instead (pans were very small and there were no cutting knives to prep meals with) - otherwise, 5*!"

"The property was clean and well taken care of. There was plenty of firewood to heat the hot tub and have a fire. The cabins were comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The only issue we had was on check-in, we never got the email that gave us access to the cabin. Luckily, the landowner was walking around at 9:30 p.m. and was able to let us into the cabin. I definitely wish we could have a few more days there. It was definitely worth the price"

"We had a great stay - we needed somewhere peaceful to stay because our dog is terrified of fireworks & Sparrows Nest was just perfect. It was also great for us too & had everything we needed to enjoy our visit. We have stayed in many lodges over the years & can honestly say that this was the nicest one we have ever stayed in & can highly recommend it."
