The room was spacious and clean. The staff were kind and helpful. One elevator was broken. The kitchen/dining area is being redone so we weren't able to enjoy that part. Parking was $29/night. Overall, very convenient location and walking distance to the beach cliffs. Would definitely stay again after the updates are completed.

The staff were very nice. The hot tub was hot, We didn't eat on site. There was coffee in the lobby in the morning. We needed extra towels as there were two adults and two children staying in the room. We showered after the pool then were out of clean towels. There was a staff member in the hallway near our room and she provided extra towels for us.

We enjoyed walking into a vibrant inviting lobby right across the beach. I do however think their (HGI) policy should change in that we walked in looking to book a room for two nights and the front desk clerk said he couldn’t book us and that we had to go online. Weird that we were right in front of him and he was looking at a monitor and we wanted to spend our money with HGI (over $1000 for two nights for a basic two bed room) and he couldn’t help us. My phone was almost dead and reception in the lobby was terrible. We barely managed to book it. Since when does face to face customer service get pushed to online when you’re right on the property? I will think twice before booking with HGI due to this lack of assistance. It’s not the clerks fault but rather their policy. Poor policy.
