We try to be clear in both listings that the properties are attached so it doesn't come as a suprize to anyone. We think it is similar to resort condominiums or rooms that all have decks facing the same way with walls that separate them. Review from Terry's wife Carole: ....When you go on a vacay rental site you cross all your appendages that you'll find the right spot, especially when 2 of the houseguests are 'dogs'. Rational defense says you're lucky to find a pet friendly rental at all. So as luck would have it my husband and I fell upon Callie & Susan's property when we decided to take a road trip from Las Vegas to Carmel. Yes, I'll use a cliche...'The photos don't do it justice'. In this case, its's true. From the Japanese wood gate that unlocks you into the enclosed & private yard to the entrance to the house via French doors. The color scheme is comforting, this warm orange mixed with wood tones. There's a meticulous stocked kitchen, a master bed with a view, and the Murphy Bed functions as a desk. The comfort breathes you in. Sure, we loved it.....but the dogs loved it even more. They laid on the decks or explored the yard. I mean, they were on vacation. If you're reading this and you are a true dog lover, this is what Callie & Susan's rental is all about: humans and their fur-babies. It makes home not a word but a 'feeling.' I know we'll be back, and if we can father enough friends and family we'll look into their larger unit which is the upstairs. It's this compact rental, on steroids! Just go....and don't forget your dog!
