Carnarvon National Park

This is a rock formation at the start of the cllmb to Boolimba Lookout, possibly the most favourite of several walks in Carnarvon Gorge. Personally speaking, I think the longer walk straight up the river is the more scenic of all the trails but I did like these rocks.

This was taken on the main walk that follows the river. This would be around an hour into the hike. You have to cross the stream, from memory, 21 times but it's not like what you see here, it's shallow and mostly involves rock hopping. I just love the way the figs put out their roots in bizarre places.
Moss gardens, well worth hiking part of the 18km walks winding through Carnarvon Gorge, Queensland.
Cathedral Cave at Carnarvon Gorge, is approximately 10km into the gorge. We did a 25km hike with the kids, a long hike but totally worth it. Carnarvon Gorge is in Central Queensland, is approximately 30km long and was primarily created by water erosion. #weekendgetaway #hiking #nationalpark #nature
