The only thing I would say is to put a shower or something outside for after the beach so you don't bring the sand into the house. And the only thing I really missed was a washer and dryer

Awesome experience
Absolutely loved our stay! Great communication from the renters. Traveled with an 11 month old and a 4 year old. Convenient distance to the beach (literally like a minute walk through the yard). Cottage is right on the road but it was still rather quiet at night. When booking, I saw one review that noted the pack n play didn’t fit but if you keep it closed through the bedroom door and open it against the wall, it will fit perfectly. We rented kid equipment from BabyQuip but when we were a day or 2 out from our stay, the communication from the renters indicated there were some items available directly from them that I must have missed when I booked. I’d do that next time! Overall, such a great stay. 10/10 recommend.

Ok small little house
The house is comfortable, is good for a getaway weekend. No ocean view, there is a large property right behind, i think is too close for comfort i have to keep blinds close for privacy. Parking is a little odd but it worked out at the end. Very well pack with kitchen appliances, we didn't find anything else..

Weekend getaway at Carolina Beach
This cozy beach cottage brings back childhood memories of family beach trips in a simpler time. The house is super cute and nicely updated. Upon arrival, it was very clean and inviting. The beds were comfy when resting. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch as well as relaxing in the living room. The most valuable part of this property is the easy private beach access out back! We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and from start to finish, the owners were very attentive and excited to make our stay special. Highly recommended!

The property was well maintained and in a good location. The staff was great. I was given clear and concise instructions for the check in and check out. The property manager gave me a welcome call and provided information about the area as well as accommodating an unplanned extra vehicle. The restaurant guide in the house was very appreciated. We would definitely rent this property again.

This property was perfect in many ways! To start, the owners are beyond the best! They have tons of information about the area ready for you, they give details on all the things to know about the home, and they are so easy to communicate with. The house is stocked with anything you’d need! The home was literally right on the beach! Area where the home is located was so quiet and peaceful! Awesome place for a worry free getaway!
The property managers Jamie and Brian are great, very professional and communicative. They made sure to contact me to give me all the info on the property before arrival and made checking in/out effortless and easy. The kitchen is fully stocked, house very well put together, and the beach access is right there! This was my first trip to Carolina beach and I will definitely rent from Jamie and Brian again when my Family and I come back.

We had a great experience for our last minute beach trip. the cottage is literal steps from the beach, which was paramount for our family with 2 small children. We were also very close to the boardwalk and all the other CB amenities. The host was very accommodating and responsive. We hope to come back for another trip.

Great Little Vacation Spot
This is a great little beach house! The walk to the beach is extremely short. The house was stocked with everything that we needed. For anyone traveling with an infant - the bedrooms are small and our pack n play wouldn't fit in either bedroom. This house is a gem and we definitely want to return!

Perfect getaway!
What a cute house! So clean and cozy. Literally 15 steps to the beach so location was great. We love to walk so each night walked the mile to either eat dinner or shop around. The owners could not have been better, communication was excellent.

Perfect beach access
We enjoyed our stay at Playing Hooky! It was a very easy/quick walk to the beach with their private walkway. The house is so cute and we loved the decor. This was our first time in Carolina Beach. We loved the location of the property. It is close to the boardwalk, restaurants, and shopping, yet far enough away to have a more private beach experience.

Great Spot!
Spent July 4th with my wife and 2 young kids (9&11) and had a great time. Brian and Jamie’s communication was great, house was spotless, and the location could not have been any better. No roads to cross to get to the beach, so forgetting something at the house when we were on the beach wasn’t an issue. With younger kids, it was best for us to drive downtown, but parking downtown was offered by the hosts, so that made things much easier. Can’t recommend this place enough, we will definitely be returning, hopefully sooner than later!

The house was extremely clean and the decor was on point. It was a little smaller than I expected and I was surprised to find that there was NO washer/dryer. It was nice to have the convenience of being so close to the beach. The communication from the owners was somewhat excessive. I personally do not need that level of involvement though others may appreciate the gesture. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the property as long as you are fine with no laundry amenities.

Very nice ocean side cottage. Well decorated and stocked with essentials in the kitchen. Bedrooms and bath are a bit small but quite adequate. Owners communicated very well and made check-in convenient and easy.

Cute beach house!
This house is so cute, very well decorated and was also very clean. If you don’t care about ocean front views or having a pool then this is a good place to stay. The bathroom is super small so if you are a taller person you have to sit sideways on the toilet. It is small, so with that being said, I think I stubbed my toe on every piece of furniture in the house. The couch and chair in the living room are extremely uncomfortable and the kitchen table chairs are not kid friendly as they are cloth fabric. The beds were super comfy! There are cameras everywhere outside so we did feel like we were being spied on at times. It was also very weird that the house cleaners just showed up to “do some things” in the basement. I’ve never had that happen at a rental before. All in all it’s a cute house at a great price just missing an oceanfront view!

Beautiful Place
The inside of the house was clean and beautifully decorated just as pictured. We were very happy with it. It is close to anywhere you would want to get to. The only thing that was a bit deceiving about the pictures is that it seemed like we would walk out a back door and be in the backyard that leads to the beach. However, there is another house behind this one so that back yard isn’t right behind the house. With that said, you just walk down a pathway along the side of the house to get to the walkway onto the beach like seen in the pics. It was easy access to the beach and you could run back to the house in a minute if you needed or forgot something. We visited in early May so it was not crowded at all and we had the beach to ourselves practically. We really enjoyed our stay!

My husband and I celebrated our sons 1st birthday here. Cleanliness is our top priority and the place met our needs. Location was great and communication with the owners on 2 occasions were prompt. 10/10 recommend 😀 Also, baby friendly as far as furniture & overall safety in the house.

Just steps from the beach.
This place is beautiful and super clean. Though it is Oceanside, it is not Oceanfront. There is a house in front of this one. That being said it is literally just steps away from the beach and it’s accessible right from the property. We did not have any issues so we didn’t have much contact with Brian or Jamie. The check in process was easy and they reached out to us the morning of the day we were to arrive and provided us with all that we needed. It was so relaxing the only issue is that I didn’t book for a long enough time. Next time we will stay longer.

It’s a cute little house. A short walk around the other house on the lot and you’re on the beach. Has a hose for rinse off (important when you have a little kid!). The inside was clean and perfect for us. Our stay was smooth and would love to go back someday.

The cutest beach house and the shortest walk to the beach you can get
The ocean is basically the back yard! This house was just amazing! It was the cleanest place we have stayed. We had 4 people (2 couples) and we had plenty of room. The bathroom is a little small but that didn’t matter to us. They let us check in early and Brian called us before check in to give us all of the information we needed. We walked to the boardwalk which is a mile but it was a straight shot and so convenient. Everything you need is so close by. Definitely stay here because the property managers really care about you having a great stay!

Great place!
An adorable beach house filled with everything you need. The owner definitely put in a great deal of thought with the decor and set up of this space. Everything from extra hooks for towels in the bathroom to self close drawers in the kitchen. The front porch swing was perfect in the morning for coffee or in the afternoon to read a book. The ocean was just around the corner of the house only steps away. The boardwalk is within walking distance to the right on the beach and the pier/restaurant was within walking distance to the left on the beach. Location was great! House was great! Beds were comfortable. Kitchen well stocked with utensils and equipment. Everything was super clean. We would happily return. Thank you!

Perfect little spot for a short stay!
We needed a spot for an event in Wilmington and turned it into a mini vacation. You can't beat the location with a bar down the street and a perfect breakfast spot the other way. Close walk to the beach too!

Great location
We thoroughly enjoyed preparing meals in the kitchen to save money. We went to the local seafood market Blackburn Brothers and the Publix 5 mins away for low country boil ingredients. There is a short, private and well lit path to the beach. We also enjoyed the swing on the front porch. The covered parking was a bonus!! Stargazing from the steps on the way to the beach was magical! The owners were prompt with all communications!! Bring your beach blanket and ENJOY!! We will be back!!!

Outstanding Rental!!!
I cannot stress enough how extremely pleased we were with this rental and everything it encompassed. The owners were an absolute joy, the rental was perfect and the view was amazing! I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a stress free getaway that will surely make you never want to go home! =) The rental was super clean, furnished nicely and had all the modern day amenities you could ask for and more. Hands down an easy 5 star review and we hope to return very soon!
