Host Mary was wonderful and made sure I was comfortable and had a good breakfast to my liking
Mary was an excellent hostess! Room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was absolutely delicious! Only downside was the distance from what we had planned so we cut our visit short by 1 day. Will definitely stay again if we have plans in the area.
The Glencarrig B&B was the perfect place to stay! Our room was comfortable and we utilized the guest lounge and game room. The entire place was clean and quaint. Mary is a wonderful host with a true gift in hospitality. She cooked a delicious Irish breakfast showcasing her own jams and was quick to answers every question we had while giving us great recommendations for food and things to do. We listened to Mary’s recommendation to drive a nearby portion of the Wild Atlantic Coast and it was a highlight of our whole trip!
Large spacious room with good WIFI and lots of TV channel options in various languages. Breakfast included a lot of delicious home made items and the hostess was happy to accommodate any special needs you may have. Village is approx 2km by road and has an excellent rstaurant/bar. Ideal place if you just want tio chill out for a few days. I will certainly book here again when I am next in the area.
Wonderful host made us feel right at home in a comfortable spacious room. A couple small concerns were addressed promptly. Breakfast was wonderful and we enjoyed the company of another couple who were eating at the same time. It is a farm B&B so don’t expect a gas station or grocer in the immediate area, but the Long Dock restaurant is a 5 minute drive away and excellent.
Part of the charm of this great B&B is finding and getting to it. The road gets narrower and narrower, and you are very aware of the charms of rural Ireland. The B&B was well maintained and clean. There is a den downstairs and access to an outdoor space, but we did not use during stay. Our room was basic but very comfortable, spacious enough for two beds, and had a lovely view. The innkeeper is a wonderful hostess and baker. Our made to order breakfast was delicious and more than generously sized. We were even sent on our way with buttered and wrapped scones for the road.
Our host Mary was warm and welcoming, our accommodation was warm and homely and the served breakfast was delicious. The games room and lounge wa a delightful addition 👌 😍
This place has it all - quiet, beautiful location, great rooms, incredibly tasty breakfast, a very friendly and helpful host, a games room with pool table, darts, etc and is fantastic value too. Can't recommend it enough.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Glencarrig Farmhouse B&B. The owner was lovely and hospitable She gave us many helpful tips. We enjoyed speaking with her. She is a terrific cook. We felt at home here!
Great place! Mary is a truly great host. You really feel warmly welcome! Really nice surroundings on the countryside right by the ocean. Nice restaurant rather close by. Nice breakfast and a lot homemade stuff (jams, marmelade etc.), I even got a delicious brownie to bring on my trip : ). I will be back for sure!
We choose and booked this hotel at the last minute while traveling through Ireland. It was a little off the path but in a sweet quiet area. Mary was so sweet and lively. She gave us some of her homemade pudding and made us feel at home.
We enjoyed playing pool before bed then waking up to a nice breakfast. She gave us great advice on some local places to visit that we would not have heard about otherwise.
We had a great stay in this lovely B&B. Mary is the perfect host, very generous and friendly. The breakfast was amazing and one of the best we have ever encountered in a B&B.
We LOVED our stay here! Mary is an absolute gem and I cannot speak highly enough about her hospitality - or her cooking. She greeted us with cake when we arrived and we had made-to-order breakfast in the morning. I had French toast, my mom had pancakes, and she even made yogurt parfaits with granola and stewed fruit as a starter - and every single thing we ate was better than the next!
The property is in a perfect location for anyone looking to take a break from the large crowds of tourists, all while still spending time in someplace beautiful. We stayed here as a stopover after visiting Loop Head, which isn’t as heavily advertised as some of the other locations on the Wild Atlantic Way, but is equally as mind-blowing. The village of Carrigaholt is quiet and peaceful, with a few pubs on the main road through the village if you’re looking for some dinner nearby (the place we went to had great seafood).
We loved the farmhouse vibe of Glencarrig and the cute little cows they had on the property! Our room was clean and cozy, and there was plenty of seating in the common areas for planning out the next leg of our travels. This was easily one of our favorite B&Bs that we stayed at on our trip and we will definitely be back on our next visit to Ireland!
I highly recommend staying here for visiting this beautiful and secluded spot in Ireland: the Loop Head peninsula.
My room overlooked the Shannon estuary with peaceful rural and water views from the windows.
The bathroom had a great, powerful hot shower, which I found better than what most hotels offer nowadays!
The host, Mary, is always available and ready to help and she cooks awesome breakfasts. Best pancakes I've ever had!
The town of Carrigaholt is lovely, the bay, the castle the main street with The Long Dock (a great restaurant).
Lovely friendly - home away from home - guesthouse. Mary and Luke, our hosts, were very generous and hospitable. We had beautiful sea views and the best breakfast imaginable.
Glen Carrig hostess, Mary, was very welcoming. The room was comfortable and clean. There was a sitting room and facilities to make a cup of tea. Breakfast was substantial served with homemade yoghurt and granola.
