Although the drive into the property was rough (3 miles of rutted dirt road) all else was absolutely wonderful! The house has a very welcoming feel and it is clearly loved by the owners. There were ample linens, towels and pantry items and the kitchen appliances/dishes/cooking items were plentiful and in good condition. The riverfront view was lovely in the late afternoon and neighbors were very friendly. We would absolutely stay at the property again!
House was perfect. Had everything you could need in the kitchen.. Comfortable beds. Had a great time and highly recommend this house for family, friends and fishing. Can’t wait to come back.
We are a group that regularly visits Montana for fly-fishing. This house was perfect in every way for our large group...thanks Caralee!!! great house and great property on the river.
Beautiful house on the Missouri river. The house is spacious and very comfortable, all the amenities anyone could wish for. We especially enjoyed being right on the river for fishing and those who didn’t fish sitting on the deck watching the wildlife and enjoying the peacefulness of the location. We found that all the people who live in the area are friendly and welcoming. We would definitely consider spending another vacation here.
Every VRBO property should strive to be so well stocked for their guests. What a pleasant surprise to find everything one could need to cook, bbq, bake, sit by the river in comfort, tire swing, yard games, board games etc. Magnificent setting that is remote enough to keep traffic to a minimum and surrounded by neighbors who care about their community and property. A wonderful home enjoyed by multiple generations from ages 4 - 70.

Great get away spot!
It is a bit off the beaten path to get to this property, about a 10 minute drive on a dirt road off the highway down to the house. After a few trips in and out it wasn't bad at all, just plan on heading to Tom's in Cascade if you need groceries, open from 6am to 8pm..about a 25 min. drive. The town of Craig is about 10 minutes once on the highway and Wolf Creek about 15 minutes once on the highway...so plan you shuttles and shop visits accordingly if you are fishing. Everything was very nice and Carolee was very accommodating where ever she could be..Fully stocked kitchen. Very comfortable beds in the house. No internet was quite difficult trying to check weather and flows and with the limited cell service 3G was almost non existent, you will need to head to Craig or Wolf Creek Angler for service and wifi. She will have internet soon so if you can't live without service bare this in mind. For the most part it was nice not having to communicate! Highly recommend it. Great neighbors too.

The house was very comfortable, with easy access to the river
The house we rented was very comfortable....about what I expected. There seemed to be a glitch regarding the second payment: VRBO did not request the second payment and I called the owner who said she would explore it......then the last day of our stay, she called to say she hadn't received it......then received the VRBO Email for payment.....very confusing. Prior to that, on Jan 1, 2018 I had reserved Property #745641, reservation HA-HCY9JH.....My "booking request" was accepted and I paid the $1199.00 to reserve the property. However, several days later, I got a call from the owner, who stated there had been a mistake and he could not honor the reservation....he refunded the full payment however left me to find another property. Which I did, and found that property was $400 more. I would think that VRBO should be aware of such practices.....obviously the owner of the first property got a better offer.....the honorable thing to do would have been to research a similar property and paid the difference if necessary. If this is VRBO's practice, I'm not sure I understand what your term "reservation" means and will be difficult to justify using VRBO in the future. Mark Andersen
Nicely accommodated home. As described the 3 bedrooms with a bunk house. House was inviting, clean and well stocked. The house feels more like a home than some of the other places I've stayed. Felt like it was used by the owner. Personally like that. There is a small den that had a weather station (that read 16 degrees one AM we were there!) For how cold it was outside - perfectly warm inside. Kitchen is fully stocked. You can really cook in this house. The bunk house is really only for sleeping. Two bunk beds with a TV. Owner was super responsive and helpful.
There was a 1/2 bath and a 3/4 bath. Not an issue for us as we all took showers at different times - but if you have a lot of people lining up in the AM - could be an issue. There is a short section of road to the house where you have to go up and over a hill on a dirt road. Owner warned us ahead of time that if there is snow, you may need chains. I think that's right, but It was really fine. It didn't snow enough for us to have to test it.
There are a ton of deer in the area. They met us in the yard, on the deck, on the porch! The Mo is directly in front of the house. The water directly in front of the house is a little shallow for nymphing/streamers, but a very short ways up - there is some riffle water that produced fish. Suspect that if there was a hatch - you could float some dry flies over water immediately in front of the house.
Overall, great house that accommodated 5 men well. We were happy with the house. I would definitely book here again.
Great home on one of the best fishing rivers in Montana the Mighty Mo. We live in Montana and come to the Missouri River every summer and use VRBO to rent homes during our stay. Caralee’s home is as described very clean, perfect and absolutely amazing location with spectacular views. The kitchen has everything you will need for all meals. We would definitely rent this home again.
2nd time we have stayed here. Perfect for us old fishermen. So clean, well stocked and perfect place on the river. Owners are so nice and helpful. I highly recommend this place to anyone that wants a great place to stay and some privacy

Missouri River Rental
Caralee went way beyond the call of duty in answering all of my many questions prior to our booking her property. If you are coming to fish the Missouri River, the home is ideally located a short drive from both Craig MT and to the many wade-in locations along the river between Holter dam and Cascade MT. TV and Internet service is excellent and, while the VRBO property description seems to say otherwise, our cell reception was very good as well. If my wife and I return to the area, we will most definitely return to Caralee’s home.

Great place for family
We really enjoyed our time in this house! It was a great location and great layout for us to spend time as a family fly-fishing the legendary Missouri River. What really made the trip so great ~ was the comfortable, welcoming feel of the house. We stay in VRBO locations often (we also rent our own home near Glacier National Park) and always feel most comfortable staying in a house that feels loved; a house that the owner uses themselves ~ not just a rental or income property. We hope to stay again, for longer!
