"I’ve stayed at La Estrella before and had a great experience. This time there were a couple of things that needed attention. The bathroom sink was NOT draining properly, and it seemed to have been in that state for a little while. Also the toilet developed a leak along the floor on the second day of our stay. Unfortunately we were really busy during this visit and didn’t have time to alert staff to the situation earlier in our stay. On check out day, I requested a 1 hour delay because my flight home was late in the afternoon. I was told any late check out was a ‘standard’ $25 extra fee. I am a senior, have a AAA, AARP, and USAA because I’m a veteran and my son is currently serving. The manager ultimately waived the fee, but let me know the fee is standard. Obviously this fee is totally at the facility’s discretion. I was just surprised and disappointed. In the end, I recommend La Estrella because the facility is beautiful with great amenities and helpful staff. I just had an experience that was a bit of a miss. Hopefully it’s a one-off."

"Was a great stay! The home had everything that we needed and some and was very clean and accommodating. The view of the city from the backyard was gorgeous, bed was comfy, plenty of linens and pillows as well. Overall, it was a pleasure to stay here and so peaceful. We will absolutely be back next time we visit Tucson! Thank you!"
Authentic Tucson Experience: Mud Adobe Casita Nestled in Canyon Among Wildlife

"This casita has charm. It is well built and nestled between hills. There is a fair amount of privacy and wild life. It is quite small, and there's lots of brown color inside, which after time, was too much for me. When I arrived, exhausted after a day of driving on little sleep and with a cat that needed attending to, I found that the casita had not been cleaned since the previous guest. Dirty towels, dirty bathroom and linens. Dirty kitchen. I asked that it be cleaned that evening, but was told that 'that wasn't going to happen.' It was cleaned the next day. I asked for a courtesy credit for that first night and got no response. The owner was responsive on certain points, especially when I found a rattlesnake at my door (goes with the territory...and the fire dept showed up quickly) and when the air conditioning failed. He did his best to troubleshoot the air conditioning from a distance without luck. Tucson was in triple digits heat and I had to go elsewhere. I asked for refund on those days, and again, got no response. Vicki, the woman who cleaned and helped out in a pinch was great."

"The Desert Oasis is the best rental we have experienced at Tucson Estates! It is an adorable home, spacious and nicely furnished and decorated. The bedrooms are a good size, and the beds were really comfortable. Our hostess, Elena, and her representative, Cass, were nice and great at communicating. All of our questions were answered with patience and in a timely manner. This home had many supplies for our use, including cute baskets in each bathroom filled with q-tips, hotel-size bar soap, shampoo & conditioner, and body lotion. There were even extra shavers. These items were thoughtful and greatly appreciated. One of the best items for use was the golf cart that we used to get to the pool, and for a run to Queen's Doughnuts. The location by the mountains was excellent! It was great for hiking, and for walking the labyrinth that was close to the trail head. My husband and I enjoyed our stay there. We would definitely recommend Desert Oasis as a great home-away-from-home. Thanks Elena!"

"Very nice home. Well stocked kitchen with everything you can think of. The pool was great! Kids swam every day. The living room furniture was super comfy… love the reclining sofas. It’s a bit farther drive to U of A but there are tons of shopping and dining options nearby. Our family had seven traveling from IL and VA for my sons graduation and booked in November for a larger home but they cancelled on us in February “due to unexpected home issues that require immediate attention”. This left us scrambling to find another place.So glad we found this home! It had everything we could want. Host was very understanding when we needed a later checkout. Definitely recommend this beautiful home. The only problem we had was figuring out the washer - could not get cold water and only found out after washing on the cold setting that it was hot water."
