Charming and Secluded Mountain Cabin for Couples near Eureka Springs
10/10 Excellent
"We have stayed in a lot of VRBOs and this was hands down the cleanest property we have been The place was cozy, comfortable, and just perfect for us and our small dogs. The cabin itself is well stocked and has everything you need. We loved sitting out on the deck, the hammock, and watching the sunrise out of the bedroom windows! The other plus to this cabin is LOCATION! We were secluded and it was so quiet and peaceful! Yet a short drive (10-20mins) gets you to everything you need! We did a lot of hiking in the area and even took a day trip over to Bentonville, which was about a 40 minute drive. There was so much to do around the cabin but if staying there and just being in nature is your vibe, you can have that too!! I truly cannot rave enough about this place. Thanks for everything! "
"Clean, comfortable room. Bed comfortable. Because it is an old hotel, they have window air conditioners. They are loud. If you cannot sleep in noise, don't stay here. Fun place if you are into the ghost world. They have parking that is located at a lower level street and down a couple of blocks. You have to walk with luggage or call from lot to send a shuttle. This can be a nuisance, but workable. If you cannot do stairs, you will have to rely on the shuttle. One can be dropped off at the door and unload, but other person will still have to park, walk or call for shuttle. The front desk will hold onto your luggage if needed. Helpful employees."
"I have stayed at hidden springs a few times over the years and it's always been great. The owner, John is the best at making you feel comfortable. It's like a home away from home.
The only complaint I had was the laundry detergent was a little perfumey and it bothered my eyes a bit. But I know not everyone has that sensitivity, so next time I'll just bring my own pillow. No big deal! Everything else was perfect! "
"The vibe is rustic and private, and the view of Beaver Lake from our deck was spectacular. It's a little secluded, which we really liked. You do have to drive a little to get to some of the more touristy areas, but we knew that, and we thought it was nice. It was lovely being away from the more trafficked areas at night and sitting on the deck looking at the stars.
We were there for four nights, and our check-in was completely remote and easy. We received detailed instructions via email, including where to find the key. It was very private, which was perfect. The rooms are not cleaned during your stay, unless you call and request it, but that is all explained in the provided instructions. There was a phone number where we could call if we wanted fresh towels or anything else, but we were fine using the same ones, so we didn't need to call for anything. This is important because, while there is an office, it was always locked and we never saw anyone there. You have to call if you need anything.
The photos on the website look gorgeous, but they also look like they might have been taken a long time ago. The place could do with a little updating, but it was clean. The bathroom is tiny - just barely big enough for a sink, toilet, and shower, but no tub. If you want a bath, you have to use the jacuzzi in the middle of the living room/kitchen/bedroom (kind of awkward placement, to be honest). We didn't spend much time in the room anyway, and it was certainly adequate.
