"We had a great time at Idle Hour. The views of the water are amazing. The tides come right up to the house. We saw plenty of birds and even a seal. The house is very clean and well-provisioned. It's a perfect place to get away after spending the day on MDI. We would definitely stay here again."

You will really feel like you have gotten away from all the hustle and bustle yet it is a short drive to Stonington Harbor."

"We stayed here for a fall wedding in Winterport. Cabin was great for my family and loved being closer to Belfast. The rocky beach in front of cabin is great to explore. We found the place to be very clean and the mattresses to be comfortable. It’s a quick 5 minute drive to town. We would stay here again!"

She shares great recommendations for hiking, fun places to get almost any kind of food you may be craving. This is not a fancy cottage, it's absolutely perfect for relaxing and is a perfect location for hiking and exploring. "Pros: Quiet. This is it if you are looking for quiet. The cottage: The glassed-in porch is the star. The windows open too. The kitchen is updated and a pleasure to cook in. The living room is very cozy at night. There was a musky smell when we 1st arrived, but went away quickly once all windows were open and never came back, but then again the windows were open the whole vacation. Cons: The view will be obstructed soon if the owner doesn't cut down some small trees, it seems without affecting...

"My husband and I stayed here in for several nights and really enjoyed our time. It's a very cute guest cottage close to the main downtown. Very nicely decorated, clean, comfortable bed, and quiet. Nice amenities, such as a fan, record player, wine/bottle opener & glasses, kitchen supplies, plenty of blankets, and designated parking spot. It was also very nice having a fenced backyard available for us. Highly recommend this charming cottage!"
