Fairhill cottage Galway, Beautiful rural location

Experience the charm of traditional Ireland in my 1940's cottage set in the middle of rural Ireland. put down a turf fire in the range and relax in the farmhouse styled sitting room. For your comfort I have ensured that the house is fitted with all the modern facilities you would expect including power shower, dishwasher, 50inch television, WIFI, and comfy beds. Enjoy!! 😊
The space
The house is a traditional Irish cottage with a well kept mature garden full of fruit producing trees and beautiful flowers, the outside area is great for BBQ's and Summerparties with a covered area incase there is rain. You will be surrounded by rural country side, there are plenty of walks including Mountbellew woods walk. There are 2 pubs and a shop in Menlough and the busy town of Mountbellew is a short 8min drive away.
Guest access
You will have access to the entire house and garden. The site is surrounded by fields so you will have complete peace and quiet during your stay.
Other things to note
I hope you will love the village of Menlough as much as I do! This is a great base to explore the West of Ireland, in the middle of nowhere, for peace and serenity, but in the centre of everything with Galway, Athlone & Roscommon all just 40min drive away.

Visit the historic towns of athenry and loughrea, cycle on the Athlone Greenway, take a boat trip on the Blueway, explore Mountbellew and Monivea woods or just find a traditional Irish pub to put your feet up and enjoy a pint of your favourite brew!

Disliked: Cleanliness
Not as great as advertised.
The fridge was not clean and smelled of old onions, the instructions for the dishwasher were not evident, the duvet in the one bedroom did not have a clean smell (it was musty) and there was a broken glass in the cupboard. Overall we were very disappointed. The location was great and very quiet; however the other issues tended to drop our experience to an unpleasant level.
