About this property

Gîtes de France® - Patous Gîte

  • Just a 5-minute drive from Lake Catus and local shops, and less than 15 minutes from Cahors, Le Gîte de Patou offers the tranquility of the countryside without being far from everything. This spacious, detached house of 120 m² accommodates up to 6 people in a peaceful and secluded setting, nestled within a 20-hectare estate. Here, you’ll enjoy plenty of space: a living room measuring over 25 m², a large, fully equipped 23 m² separate kitchen, a sunroom with a dining area and TV, as well as a large covered patio where you can take your time having lunch or relaxing outdoors. For sleeping arrangements, the cottage features 3 bedrooms. All bedding—mattresses and box springs—was replaced in April 2026 for added comfort. And to get your holiday off to a great start as soon as you arrive, sheets are included and the beds are made. The kitchen is designed for stays with family or friends, featuring a dishwasher, two ovens, a refrigerator-freezer, and two coffee makers—a drip coffee maker and a Senseo-style pod coffee maker. The veranda provides a pleasant additional space, complete with a table, chairs, and a TV. The Gîte de Patou is located in a former farmhouse, the main house of which—dating back to the 17th century—has belonged to the same family for at least four generations. The old barns on the property are locked and not accessible to guests. The heating system was also completely renovated in 2024 with the installation of a pellet boiler and the replacement of all radiators. For nature lovers, hiking trails are available right near the cottage. About a 5-minute drive away, Lake Catus offers opportunities for swimming, fishing, water sports, and walking paths. The shops and services in Catus are just as close, while Cahors and its must-see attractions are less than 15 minutes away. Practical information: Access to the house is via an outdoor staircase. The veranda opens onto the covered patio and the entryway. On one side, the entryway leads to two bedrooms: one with a 140x190 bed and the other with two 90x190 beds. They can be accessed separately but are also connected to each other. On the other side is the large kitchen with a dining area, followed by a third bedroom furnished with a 140x190 bed. A second hallway leads to a separate bathroom, a bathroom, and the living room with access to the balcony terrace. Unfenced garden and on-site parking. Sheets included and beds made upon arrival. Optional cleaning fee of €100 (a security deposit of the same amount will be required). Electricity included; usage monitored. 3 fans available. Wi-Fi. The cottage is not accessible to people with limited mobility.
