Mayan Falls

It is small (cozy), has a nice pool, but limited cooking facilities. Microwave worked, but only one burner of hot plate functioned, and there were no pots and just two ratty frying pans. Also few plates and utensils.Kind of far from the main part of town and the roads are full of puddles and potholes. There are a couple of grocery stores close by, but the road conditions made walking to them impossible. Bicycles were necessary, but the only place to rent them was more than a mile away.

Mixed reviews for both Caye Caulker and the condo we stayed in

The picture shows a beautiful pool which attracted us, however the pool was very dirty. We did complain and it was sort of cleaned but it did remain a rather nasty green colour. It was difficult to get hold of the Manager, we tried several times to talk to her regarding the advertised bikes that VRBO were advertising but there are none. We tried to talk to her regarding the lack of cleaning materials aswell. Finally we got hold of her but alas no bikes. When we were in room we liked too have door open as living space is small and as there are a lot of mosquitoes and no serums it would be good to have a screen. There is a bedroom a small living room and a bathroom which are basic but adequate. We were disappointed that Caulker did not have a proper beach. Although the reef is only a mile away it is difficult to get there without having to pay at least 75usd or more per person. We had hoped to be able to snorkel. Belize as whole is expensive.

Great place to stay away from the main strip of Caye Caulker! The room was very comfortable and communication with the host was super easy. Very quick responses and great suggestions/tips about things to do and places to eat. It is about a 15 minute walk to the main area of the island, so if you are not up to walking that long in the heat, it may be best to rent bikes (which you can do through the host at $15Belize a day) or a golf cart. We had a great 4 night stay overall and would highly recommend this place!

Great local and concierge staff!

Apartment was neat and tidy. Liked having the pool and gated access courtyard. Chantel was a great and very helpful local contact, and Veronique provided great concierge service and follow up for my coming and going transportation.
