Nice hotel for the price. The private beach is relaxing and nice, but not much sun exposure. Super close to a little grocery store and lots of restaurants and excursions.

Staff was great!! The beds however were hard as a rock. The room was huge. The location was very convenient to everything on Caye Caulker.

Staff worked hard every day. They raked the sand, cleaned the pool, replenished the fire pit, and cleaned the rooms daily. We received fresh sheets and towels daily, which was great. Air conditioning worked well. La Isla offered beach towels and kayaks free for use, but not bicycles (which would have been nice). Hotel is conveniently between the water taxi site and the split to the north island. Restaurants and grocery are a very short walk. TV is limited to Netflix and Prime. Long private dock for jumping in the water or watching the sunrise.

I’ve always admired the outside of the property but once I set foot in the room I was very disappointed. It’s very dated, and feels gross. The amenities are great and the exterior and amenities are awesome.

The staff was outstanding and went out of their way to accommodate. The location is perfect and right in the center so everything was within walking distance. One small thing to know: we never could get warm water in the shower. Might have been a trick to getting it but we never asked. We would definitely recommend this place! Bon fires every night!!

When you get off the water taxi, walk straight ahead through the basketball court to the next block. Turn right and go about two blocks and you are at the hotel. It is a simple no frills room. There was plenty of hot water in the shower, and the AC was great. Originally, they were going to put me in a first floor room, so I asked them if it was possible to go to the second floor with the terrace, and they gave me an available room upstairs. Nobody was at reception from Saturday evening through Sunday checkout. Super location.

I can tell you right now if you're looking for the perfect place to stay in caye caulker, look no further! We spent two weeks at this property and it truly felt like home. The staff felt more like family and manager Ken became a real friend. You'll know he's around when you hear his laugh. Its located right in the center of everything so super convenient. The rooftop bar/restaurant is about the only place you can see both the sunrise and the sunset from one location, amazing! Office manager Heidy can set up any tours or trips you want to go on so no need to shop around. Rooms are spotless, AC is great and the pool is perfectly refreshing. Dont waste your time and book this property!!! Cant wait to go back

Well-managed, well-maintained, well-equipped
La Isla Resort is just a short two-minute walk from the water taxi terminal and it is a GREAT place to stay! I was thoroughly impressed by how the staff was constantly busy setting up, rearranging, and maintaining everything. Ken, the manager, is a joy to talk to. He and his crew create such a relaxing atmosphere that I wished I could change my plans to extend my stay. From the deck chairs on rooftop bar down to the private swimming dock and everything in between, things were clean and set up perfectly without exception! If I ever get a chance to come back to Belize, I will go out of my way to make a special trip back here

There was an issue with our room. Front desk staff accommodated our needs and provided an upgrade. The sunset view from the rooftop bar is AMAZING!
