And yes, pets are welcome. Because four-legged family members deserve a break, too.

Step outside and let the lake breeze do the rest. The backyard patio is made for long, lazy afternoons – complete with dining for six, cozy lounge seating, and plenty of Adirondack chairs positioned just right to soak up that view. Morning coffee here tastes better, trust us.
There’s a front patio with a propane BBQ (hello, grilled everything) and a firepit tucked to the side – perfect for roasting marshmallows or sharing stories under the stars.
And yes – you’ve got semi-private access to the lake, so go ahead and dip your toes in or take the inflatable kayaks for a spin. We’ve got life jackets ready to go, too.
NOTE: Approx.100 stairs to the lake and the stairs are right beside your cottage. The lakebed can be sandy or stoney depending on what the lake gives you that day. But it sure is fun to try to find the ever changing sandbars. Generally you will find sand 3ft out. It's fun to go stone collecting - Lake Huron is a geologists paradise! Just bring some water shoes. The nice thing is, it's not weedy or slimy at all.

ABOUT YOUR HOST
I'm Jennifer, I started CottageStays to share my own home with like-minded travelers who appreciate escaping to life at a slower pace. I've never forgotten how lucky I am to call Lake Huron home.
