"This hotel is an oasis of calm and tranquillity. Rooms are bright and in good condition. The bed was comfortable and it was a pleasure to wake up to warm sunlight from the Juliet balcony. The location is great, with easy walking access to several restaurants in town. The staff are a credit to their organisation and helped with advice when asked. The provided information about driving tours of the area, all of which proved fascinating. We particulary recommend visiting Monsanto, Coimbra, Tomar and the Schist Villages."

"Charming beautifully decorated cottages. We enjoyed fire place, deck, library, and pottery workshop. There is a delicious healthy breakfast served in the cafe every morning. Staff is incredibly nice and helpful. We hiked to a nearby village. We will definitely come back. "
