"The photos are deceiving, it is a truck stop. It was going to be okay but after getting food from the 7/11 there was a swarm of ants carrying a larger bug towards the patio door. "Clean space with amenities in line with the price/as advertised. To be fair, this is one of the better lodging options near the airport. However, this hotel was far away from any dining/convenience store, and delivery was pretty much not available after 7pm. "We arrived late at night post checking out the night night market at Surat Thani as check in available until 23.45 :) Please be awake: black elephant boutique and 88 fine hotel are combined. We booked a room in 88 fine hotel and was expecting to sleep in one of the detached rooms as per photos in the booking- however we stayed on the second floor of the black elephant boutique. The stairs are very steep- so would recommend when booking to book first floor if needed! Other than that- room...

"Would have loved the beds to be a bit more comfortable or at least more than 1 thickness/firmness of pillows. For the firmness of the mattress the pillows were incredibly large and thick. I appreciate when hotels provide 2 types of pillows to accommodate different sleepers. The hotel was a little dated and the bathrooms needed updates (shower in one room didn't even work) but it was clean and the staff were very lovely. The lobby was very nice and the restaurant across the lane was really good. We were easy walking distance to laundry, a great night market, and even an easy walk to the waterfront boardwalk. I would consider this hotel again. Thank you."
