The COVID-19 pandemic may have changed how we travel, but it hasn't curbed our eagerness for exploring. Here are a few tips on how to navigate the new challenges of travelling:

• Investigate what, if any, restrictions or rules apply to both your origin and destination. It may not be possible to travel depending on local circumstances, so don't forget to check government advisories before booking.
• Requirements state you must wear a face mask throughout your travel experience, including at security checkpoints. You should be prepared to adjust your mask for ID purposes when asked by a TSA officer.
• To reduce the possibility of cross-contamination, position your boarding pass on the reader yourself and then hold it up for inspection. Do not hand your pass directly to a TSA agent.
• One liquid hand sanitizer container is now permitted in your carry-on luggage. It must be no larger than 12 oz (350 ml), and you'll need to remove it from your bag for scanning.

• Separate any food you're carrying for X-ray screening. Putting it in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA employee to touch and inspect your belongings.
