Chalet Alba has two levels on one level with each a private entrance (level 1 and level 2) which can be completely independent because level 1 has its own living room and lounge, and a fully equipped kitchen as well as a washing machine, a bathroom with WC.
Level 2 is the main part of the chalet where the most beautiful living room is located and the main kitchen for convivial meals around the large solid oak table.
The parental suite located on level 3 is accessible by level 2 only.

Chalet Alba is extremely cosy and comfortable, beautifully furnished, very well equipped – from fluffy bath robes to three different types of fondue sets – and perfectly located. We normally love sauna but we didn't use the nice one available once, because we spend almost an hour every day in the spacious jacuzzi with Mont Blanc view for post-hiking-relaxation.
Great hiking starting right at the chalet.
Communicating with Agnes prior to and during our stay was very easy. It was also nice to meet her in person for the handing over when we arrived at the chalet.

We had a fabulous 2 weeks in this Charming chalet, tucked away in a private little Hamlet near the river, views of Mont Blanc and the Glacier are stunning, it's well equipped. Big decking area, good Wi Fi, Bose, Nespresso and all mod cons, undercover parking for 2 cars, space for bikes, lovely furniture and lighting. Small bridge over the river nearby for Riverside walks, cycles and running, we were sad to leave! Lovely owner and thankyou Agnes!

Splinters and difficult access for children, elderly and less mobile.
Online the pictures looked great. In reality the place impractical. The access to the lower bedrooms is through a cupboard with some Heath Robinson shelving as makeshift stairs. Our group consisted of my pregnant wife and our 9 month old son and our aging parents. Getting up and down the stairs was dangerous and simply not possible for some members of our group. Due to its layout the chalet would be a living nightmare to safeguard for toddlers and we would strongly advise not to stay here if this is the case. The clutter throughout the chalet was totally unacceptable with personal possessions of the owners taking up every available space; even the shoe racks were full. The floors and walls are in a ‘rustic’ style and totally in sanded. The net result of this being every member of our party finished the week with at least one splinter. This chalet is very expensive for what it is and I am surprised Home Away have not been more rigorous in the checks for the suitability as a holiday let. It simply isn’t up to scratch and not safe.
