The Edge: Double King Bedroom Suite

Welcome to The Edge! This industrial-style 2-bedroom, 1-bath apartment can comfortably accommodate up to 4 guests. Conveniently located just a short 5-minute drive from downtown Champaign and the University of Illinois, it's the ideal spot for your Champaign visit. Situated on the 1st floor of a beautifully renovated 100-year-old Victorian-style home. Access is easy with a private keypad entrance.

Inside, you'll discover two king bedrooms, a bathroom with a walk-in shower, and a fully equipped kitchen with a cozy breakfast nook. A washer/dryer is provided for your convenience, with environmentally friendly detergent available.

Please note that the upper apartment is separately rented and off-limits to The Edge guests. The back and side yard, along with the front porch, are shared spaces for all guests. Additionally, please avoid entering the basement, backyard shed, or garage.

To ensure a peaceful environment, quiet hours are from 9 pm to 9 am, and each suite is private, so be considerate of other guests in the house. If you need assistance during your stay,

Family Retreat for 6 days.

Had a great stay here. Very homey and liked the kitchen especially. We love cooking as a family. Would come back and will recommend this wonderful place to friends and family. Rin was so friendly

Great stay

We stayed overnight for our son’s graduation from U of I. It was perfect! The apartment is decorated great! I loved all the little touches. The beds were super comfortable which is key! We will definitely stay next year when our son gets his MBA

Lovely place to stay.

Don’t let the appearance of the outside of this place affect your choice. This is a very nice place. Huge, well-equipped kitchen. Two bedrooms with king beds. Very comfortable place. I will stay here again.

Great little place to stay at

We came into town for a week to care for our son who was having surgery. I needed two bedrooms with 2 beds so he could stay with us, a space to work, fridge with freezer and microwave. I started looking into hotel options but besides trying to meet my needs, it was expensive.I found the Edge on VRBO. Was not sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised with the accommodations. Rin is a very attentive host, working to make a perfect stay for us. Loved the chalkboard walls filled with great information for anyone staying in the area for the first time.My husband is bummed it is unavailable for us to stay at in May for UI graduation. We Highly recommend the EDGE as a location to stay any time of year.

After a long holiday season

Had a very pleasant stay at this property. It was a wonderful getaway for both of us after a long holiday season. Dual shower heads in the walk in shower was a bonus. Well furnished and stocked.

Weekend Wedding

Check in was very simple and straightforward, for the most part it was clean, but the train was quite loud throughout the night. Plus, I was exited about the comments for no essential oils or air freshners because I am allergic to everything, but this comment seems to be due to the fact that there were already several air freshners set up throughout the house. Overall a good place to stay for a weekend!

Clean and close to campus

Property is clean and convenient to campus. Communication and check-in was easy. Lot of rooms to spread out. Good value for the price for us while we worked the Illinois camp.

Nice eye for industrial art deco feel & millennial aesthetics. Heat works well. Easy check in/out instructions. Host communication was good. Good value/price point. Nice perks - laundry, kitchen/bathroom stocked (TP, towels, coffee, seasoning, hot chocolate). Not a complaint, but king mattress/bedding could use an upgrade (smelled a bit old)? Overall, was good for my family and I during our visit to ILL..

Great location to access State Farm Center

We came to town for the state wrestling championships and needed a place we could work, rest and regroup between matches. This place was great! We have 3 teens and they were able to spread out, relax and unwind between long stents in the stadium and my husband and I were able to save a lot of money by prepping meals in the full kitchen! We felt we had assistance, if needed, but we’re not hovered over by our host. We would definitely stay here again!
