"Stayed for 2 weeks in this lovely apartment- part of a classic French property with a garden and private pool. Although secluded the property is less than 10 minutes drive to Brantome with its many good restaurants and market. Some fine walks in the local area as well. Our hosts, Sandra and Alun, were very helpful about places to visit and great company over a glass or two of wine. We cannot recommend this property or location highly enough."

Staircase to the bedroom balcony makes a bathroom trip in the depths of night a precarious adventure but the overall ambience and amenities are delicious . Superbly comfy sofas and French scrabble makes the evenings simple fly by ."

"Very comfortable house in a lovely spot (only slight difficulty is the spiral staircase - which could be tricky for some). Especially good if you like fishing with a beautiful lake right outside the front door. Surroundings are extremely quiet and peaceful with plenty of nice walks in the area. Host’s really nice and friendly and helpful. Would certainly go back."

"Le très mauvais temps n'a pas permis d'apprécier la région, ni les extérieurs du gîte (piscine...), dommage. Toutefois Brantôme tout proche vaut le détour et Sarlat aussi mais plus loin. "Martine and Alain were very welcoming and they have worked so hard to make the gite a happy holiday place. We were lucky with the weather and were able to be outside all the time - it was an unexpected heatwave! There were lots of lovely eating places in Brantome and Bourdeilles, but you do need to drive. The one thing I should say is that it is absolutely perfect for families. If you are travelling with friends, however, you should know that the master bedroom with its bathroom and separate...

"What a beautiful farm for a relaxing stay! Brice was very welcoming and helpful with suggestions of places to eat and shop. He had good English language skills and was very helpful in guiding our still-developing French! There are nearby places, even on the farm, to hike on trails and explore the woods. We ate our meals on a table in the backyard watching the sheep grazing around us. All in all, a beautiful place and time! I highly recommend it!"

"This house is situated brilliantly for a rural holiday in France with great local towns, a near lake and lots of choice for restaurants within a short drive. We loved the terrace where we ate every day shaded by a glorious vine. The owners lived next door and were very helpful. Sadly when we were there they were not offering diner."
