"if you are going to the verdun gorge area this is it

"We are very grateful for the warm and kindest hospitality. They made us feel at home and welcomed. The property is so beautiful and the details of the architecture and interior design are well-thought out. The views are serene and therapeutic, we even saw deers through our windows. We drove here and can’t imagine how one would get here without a vehicle as it is quite remote. With the remoteness, comes privacy :) we love this place very much. Breakfast is included also. "Lovely and calm boutique hotel in the outskirts of Sisteron. Such a little gem of a place, old houses beautifully redecorated with a stunning patio area and a mountain backdrop. We arrived late in the evening but the owner still arranged for an apéro dînatoire for us. Can highly recommend the hotel. "
"Well placed for a stop en route north. A bit far out of the fascinating town of Sisteron if you wanted to visit it’s ancient charms, but well placed to all the routs out. "
"The hotel is well located if you are travelling around the countryside. Close to many bigger cities for touing, but quiet countryside hotel to come back to. Excellent breakfast and dinner."
"Easy parking outside in parade of shops. Close to nature walk and lake - restaurants nearby were not open (Wednesday) so we walked for 30 mins to nearby town Vollonne for evening meal."

"Nice, decent sized room; we had room with a balcony=nice; very good restaurant; very good breakfast; you need to keep the windows closed in the evening, otherwise flies will come in. Perhaps window screens would be a good idea. "
"We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at La Bastide de Moustiers.
Our room was cosy, the attention to details given to the fixtures and fittings of the room was exceptional and gave a very luxurious Provençal touch.
Although the staff was happy to reserve a table for us at the highly rated Ducasse restaurant, we didn’t not dine there, however it is a significant plus to top up the luxurious Provençal experience.
We enjoyed spending time by the pool although it would have been more enjoyable had the pool been heated.
Overall a very comfortable and luxurious stay. "
Domaine Ribiera, Hotel 5 Etoiles, SPA & Golf - Forcalquier
10/10 Excellent
"Attention to little things such as placing a variety of chocolates/nougat/calissons each night on the bed and a bottle of wine to welcome guests.
Food was excellent. Cocktails were lovely.
Having indoor and outdoor pool was a bonus.
The nearby town of Forcalquier was well worth visiting"
"A simple well kept property.
Environmentally superb. Although minimalist it lacked nothing.
Quiet, traditional French meal.
Thoroughly enjoyed this hotel on our road trip from Paris to the Côté d’azur
