"After a very long drive we arrived in this lovely oasis in the middle of nowhere. The owners did an amazing job at turning this 500 year old house into a warm and homely place. Hamish and Tara, the easy-going owners, made us feel welcome and were always ready with tips or advice about the local area, including a great tip on a local winery. I definitely recommend going there with friends or family. Thanks for a lovely time Hamish and Tara!"

"We visited Chateau des Louteaux for my partners 40th as a group of 20 adults (mainly couples) and it was an amazing stay. To start the photos do not do the property justice, it's truly breathtaking! Plenty of room for everyone to have their own private space as well as group activities and dining. The property is decorated with wonderful antique furniture and lots of interesting trinkets. It did help that my husbands mum and step dad speak fluently french as we may have struggled a bit otherwise with instructions regarding the spa and other bits. "The drive out into the countryside is well worth the effort. We stayed in the two bedroom gite and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. "We love coming to the area and this house is just wonderful - cool inside when the weather was extra hot. We timed the stay for the July 14th celebrations and vide-grenier which was extra fun to see so many people out and about! Dominique met us at the house, let us in, and gave us her phone number in case we needed anything while we were there. Would definitely recommend - the area also now has a 4G phone signal so I had to disconnect my phone from data to stay away from work emails :D...
