About this property

RELAX & ENJOY THE BEAUTY OF LAKE PALESTINE Spectacular Views!!!

  • There's a spectacular view of Lake Palestine throughout the main home. The oversized covered porch provides the perfect seating to view the lake and relax. Make some smores at the fire pit, Enjoy the pier and boat dock. The boat ramp on the same street as the cottage. You may use the neighborhood pool. This waterfront cottage and bungalow can sleep up to 6 guests in beds on Lake Palestine. Enjoy fishing on the pier or bring your boat and adventure out to all Lake Palestine has to offer. We purchased this property in September 2018. So we've posted a few of the former owner reviews below. Please scroll down to see them.

    BYOB - Bring your own boat. There's a boat slip with a lift located on the pier. You can also fish off the private pier.

    The main house has a loft room (stairs to loft are steep) with queen size bed, 32" flat screen Smart TV and a 1/2 bath (curtain).

    The main floor is open concept and has a daybed with trundle that will sleep 2 and 32" flat screen smart tv with DVR.

    Kitchen with corian counter tops, large sink, and stainless steel appliances.

    There is a detached room with a king size bed and washer/dryer (no bathroom).

    Spend your nights gathered around the fire pit overlooking the panoramic views of the lake, cook some smores at the fire pit or steaks on the propane grill and your mornings on the porch and taking in the beautiful East Texas sunrise.

    The main house is 452 square feet and the bungalow is 200 square feet. Super adorable inside. I love this house, and I think you will love it too. This property is very quiet and peaceful. There's nothing like having the lake in your back yard. Come enjoy all this property has to offer.

Relaxing stay

The location has great views of the lake. Rocking chairs to sit and enjoy the morning sunrise. Birds singing. Porch area could of used a dusting and a little paint.

I came to this lovely little lake house for a weekend with friends. We had a great time and the home was perfect for three adults. We caught a few fish each morning and enjoyed the view of the water from the house. Overall a great weekend!

Beautiful Weekend

We loved this little getaway location! It is a sweet little cottage with a gorgeous view. We loved sitting on the porch rocking chairs and watching all of the lake life. It was so peaceful and just what we needed to get away from the stress of life. The location is very close to Tyler so we were able to go there to see the beautiful Rose Garden, the zoo and visit some nice restaurants. Next time, we will know to bring our fishing poles!

Family time

The cabin was clean and cozy , we had a relaxing nice time spending Christmas with our kids, my husband enjoyed fishing and caught several catfish and bass, the only downfall was the neighborhood , we was a little nervous driving through the neighborhood on the way to the cabin but once we got to the cabin , the surrounding neighbors seemed to be better, all in all we did enjoy our stay

Air conditioning and steps

The air conditioning did not cool the house down during our stay. Also, the stairs to the upstairs bedroom were extremely dangerous. Not up to code. We did enjoy the lake very much. Home was decorated nicely and was very clean.

Lake Palestine

My husband booked the property for fishing and unfortunately there was storm damage to the dock .We spoke to the owner about damage and a few things that would not meet our particular needs .She was very gracious and we found a very nice solution to the problems . We ended up having a wonderful stay at the lake .I suggest you read the description very well as there a few things at this particular location that may make it difficult for older folks. Make sure storms haven’t affected the lake if you want to fish.Otherwise very good value for the money.

Beautiful view

We stayed a week. It's what we needed for relaxation. If you like water activities, then this is right up your alley!. We fished a lot from the dock. Our boat ended up not working, but we enjoyed the lake anyways. The house did have a few necessities that we ran out of, but we just bought them ourselves. Since we didn't have access to the boat dock due to storms, we wish we would have known sooner. We wouldn't have brought our boat on the trip. Overall we all enjoed the lake and fishing and eating some fresh carfish:) Tyler, TX was only about 15 minutes away which was nice as well. Theworking, but we eourselves

The furniture needs replaced. The cabin was wonderful. But the table and chairs were very rickety. Quiet and serene. The dock needs fixed. But the fishing was great.the bungalow had a smell. Didn't sleep in there. With a few updates it would be amazing. I am grateful that we had a wonderful weekend. Thank you Cyndi.

If you want/need rest/relaxation, this is the spot. I don't recommend staying here in the dead of summer. Window units don't cool very well, so it stays hot inside until well after the sun goes down. The boat slip/fishing pier on the property is not usable. My husband and I fought spiders & mosquitoes inside for the first 2 days. The dishes in the cabinets were dirty. Being pet friendly is a plus. The host was amazing/readily available.
