The Kormoranos Villa is located in the historical industrial district of Tabakaria of the wider area Halepa, right above the sea, proud on the rocks and is 2 kilometers away from the center of Chania, Crete.

It is an old tannery, which restored and arranged for its new use in 2024, consequently and respect to the Greek regulations of the architectural composition for the former industrial buildings in the area. It covers 208 square meters interior on two floors, has a private swimming pool, amazing and unobstructed panoramic view towards theCretan Sea.

Alongside, it is fully equipped providing guests comfortable and relaxing accommodation.

Villa is located in the historical industrial district of Tabakaria of the wider area Halepa, right above the sea, proud on the rocks and is 2 kilometers away from the center of Chania, Crete. Tanneries were created in the middle of the 19th century as leather processing factories also known as tanneries . The main installations of the buildings were made during the Egyptian rule (1830 1840) while their location was chosen according to the assumption that it was far enough from the city of Chania next to a shallow sea, the water of which served in the first stage of the processing of the skins. The Tabakaria flourished during the interwar period. They stopped operating during the German Occupation to make a strong comeback after the end of the war. The decline of Tabakarias came gradually in the 1970s until today only one tenth of them operate as businesses. Today most of the tanneries are abandoned while some of them have changed use. The only element that has remained untouched by time is the imposing architecture of Tabakaria. The buildings have an entrance from the road and from the sea side are two or three steps.

Villa Kormoranos has a private pool and is two storey, built on the rocks with stunning and unobstructed views. It consists of a very spacious living room, dining room, kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a WC. In the living room there are 2 spacious sofas joined in a corner shape, which can comfortably accommodate 2 people. The ground floor has spaces with access for people with disabilities, namely an entrance with a ramp and a bedroom with a suitable private bathroom. In this bedroom there is a king size bed, which can be divided into 2 single beds. On the 1st floor there are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. In the bedroom with the 2 single beds, upon request of the guest, they can be joined to form a king size bed. It is possible to swim in the sea below the villa, weather permitting, by carefully descending the rocks.

We are a Greek couple from Chania which use the villas for living together with normal jobs
