"House warm and welcoming upon arrival. It was 67 degrees inside, and mid-30's outside. Neighborhood is very dark! but the porch light assisted us to see the home from the street. Beds were clean and a good size w/plenty of pillows. Tons of towels as well. Hot water is very hot and doesn't take long! So be cautious (caught me off guard a few times) but never ran out of hot water. The ability to adjust the heat in different rooms was helpful, as there are 3 mini-splits. Outdoor units vibrate the walls but didn't bother us. We did use the gas stove. It puts out a lot of heat. Was nice to enjoy dinner and watch a movie by the stove. "
"This was a GREAT option for Lassen Volcanic National Park. The staff was VERY friendly and helpful. The rooms were cozy with a nice mini-fridge and microwave. The restaurant across the street (same company) was excellent with some great sunset views from the large windows. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend."
"We had a wonderful stay at Peter’s studio! The space is beautiful, cozy, and thoughtfully designed — perfect for my family. The location was peaceful and made for a relaxing getaway. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped.Peter was a great host — responsive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. One small note: the blinds on the windows are a bit see-through at night when the lights are on, but Peter was very understanding when we mentioned it and offered help right away.Overall, we truly loved our stay and would absolutely come back again. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet, beautiful retreat near Lassen."

Cottage #2 with a Lake and Creek, 15 mi to Lassen NP
10/10 Excellent
"We absolutely loved our stay at Bigfoot Lodging Cottage #2 It’s a very authentic cabin in the woods experience. The original vintage wood interior and squeaky wood floors added a lot to the ambiance. Plenty of outdoor space for grilling steaks or making campfire s’mores. The grounds are fun and funky with lots of interesting things to see including a pond and creek. The family that runs it is warm and accommodating with a small store that sells drinks and snacks. Just a short drive to Lassen. We would definitely stay here again. "

"This was such a great place, one of our favorites cabins ever. Beautiful place back in the woods and a short drive to Lassen NP. Great little amenities that made us feel right at home...we loved the attention to detail with the small little snacks and such. There is a convenience store in Shingletown that has basic supplies, also a cafe at Manzanita Lake. Thanks!"
