PINEWOOD INN
10/10 Excellent
"Staff were friendly and pleasant at check-in. The room was extremely clean and well appointed. It is clear that efforts are being made sustain a high standard of cleanliness. The Air Conditioner was doing its job (almost too well). The location being just steps away from the water is great. Barry's Bay is an interesting place to visit and the local people and lovely."
BIRCH HAVEN
8/10 Good
"This was a great home base for exploring the area on some trails. Bancroft town is fairly close too, with a number of shops and restaurants available. Was a nice quiet break from the city."

Tom's rustic private cottage
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful stay at this cottage in Barry's Bay. The view was absolutely stunning, and the property was incredibly private and peaceful—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The cottage was spotless upon arrival and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was especially well-equipped for families with children, with plenty of amenities that made traveling with kids easy and enjoyable. Our daughter was obsessed with the zipline our entire stay! We appreciated the use of the boat and kayaks! Communication with our host was super easy. Instructions for the cottage were readily accessible and super helpful. The public beach and the fry-shack just down the road were amazing gems to discover. We also appreciated the firewood for our campfires! If you're looking for a quiet retreat with beautiful scenery and all the comforts of home, this cottage is an excellent choice. We would happily stay here again, in fact, we're eagerly waiting for an opening to book next summer!"
Sandy Shores Cabin on Lake St. Peter with Fire Pit+BBQ
8/10 Good
"First the pluses. He beach was absolutely perfect for the little grandchildren as well as adults. Sand was clean and the water was quite shallow all the way to the dock. After that the water was deep and perfect for swimming. We all had a great time. Now the negatives. The cottage did not come with all the amenities listed. There is no air conditioning and the tv is an antique. The photos make the interior look larger than it actually is. The pic from the beach was misleading. The actual cottage is not the gray log cottage that is front and centre - it is the much smaller little red building on the very edge of the picture. The initial condition of the property was terrible however after contacting the host, cleaners were sent and they did a very good job of making it check in ready. According to the cleaners there was an issue coordinating calendars. I don’t expect that experience to be repeated. The cleaning crew was efficient, friendly and very apologetic."
Enjoy the Autumn colours on the edge of Algonquin park at Gramma's on the Lake
10/10 Excellent
"The cottage was spacious, peaceful and very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Paugh Lake after 20 years; lovely to find it still clean, calm and relaxing. Sorry that we missed the opportunity for a sunset cruise offered by our hosts. Randy and Christine were also very responsive to our requests. We had a wonderful time swimming, fishing, canoeing and kayaking. My 7 year-old grandson kayaked for the first time and was a real natural. We are hoping to re-visit "Gramma's on the Lake" in the future."

"My family and I had a wonderful time. The place was beautiful. There were a few things that could have been repaired or better/cleaner but overall we had an amazing time."
