"We needed a stress-free break and we got one. All of the staff were superb, the room was spacious and very comfortable, and the food excellent. The only real negative was that Expedia charged us nearly £40 more than the hotel's going rate."

"The room was beautifully decorated, with lots of space, comfortable bed, big bathroom and spotlessly clean. Small touches like the DAB radio made it feel very homely. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The bar and restaurant were a good place to rest after a day of hiking."

"This is a really fabulous small hotel. The mostly young staff are wonderful and have really good customer service skills. The room we had was large and warm and really nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable with sufficient pillows and some nice cushions.It was apparent that thought had been put in to all aspects of our stay. There were lovely little touches in the room - biscuits, fresh coffee and a cafetière, an extra blanket, and even recycling facilities in the room itself. We had a vegan breakfast in a really comfortable dining room, which was well decorated also. I needed a quiet space for an online meeting and staff did their very best to help to provide this for me. In the end this didn’t work because of my own technology issues and bad planning, which wasn’t the fault of the hotel. The hotel is really close to lots of restaurants and takeaways meaning it was a very handy location."

"staying at this hotel really surprised me it was one we chose because our client had it on their agency list It was a little magical mystery tour through a housing estate and an industrial estate The hotel itself is a little dated, however, cleanliness, comfort, courteous staff and home cooked food with a little bar to boot made this one of the nicest stays away with work. Very comfortable bed and spotless room, lovely dinner and awesome breakfast Thank you for surprising me - if we are ever in Chard again needing an overnight stay i would not hesitate to book The Lord Leaze again - well done to all that make this a lovely hotel"
