    Whether shopping on King Street, enjoying Spoleto Festival, visiting the College of Charleston or the Aquarium, or strolling through the Old City Market, you will find this location to be a few minutes walk to all.

    There is a private garden with patio for your exclusive enjoyment. The apartment is newly furnished with classic Charleston chests, chairs, and rice planter queen bed. The apartment is separate from the main house - with a private entrance.

    The kitchen has modern appliances and marble counter and is fully functional if you decide to forgo a meal at the fine neighborhood restaurants to stay in for a night.

This is such a charming property... it just "feels" like what you would imagine Charleston to be. The location is very convenient to shops and restaurants and museums, but it was honestly so peaceful in the garden that one could never want to leave. The hosts are even more charming and kind and welcoming ... can't wait to go back!

This is a stunning VRBO, fantastic location in the historic district. Beautifully decorated, bedroom linens amazing, incredible outdoor space. We loved it! We did have some significant communication issues with the hosts, but in the end, I am very glad it worked out because it was a lovely stay.

Wonderful accommodation! Super cute upstairs apartment - incredibly convenient location for strolling the historic area! All the conveniences you need to make your stay a lovely experience - comfortable seating to enjoy morning coffee overlooking a beautiful garden. BEAUTIFUL HISTORIC HOME

We really enjoyed our stay. The home was charming. It was centrally located to downtown Charleston which worked out great for walking since we hadn't rented a car. The Grimballs couldn't have been more welcoming as well as their son, Henry. We loved reading about the history of this home (from Henry's school report) Would definitely recommend!

Very nice carriage house in a great location for exploring Charleston. Owners are great and check-in process easy. The unit is accessed through a spiral staircase, which could present a problem if you have mobility or balance problems.

Staying here enabled us to have a small taste of living in the historic district enjoying the history of the house, the garden and pleasant walks through the area. It is so convenient to walk to many of the historic sites and White Point Garden in addition to numerous of the excellent restaurants without the hassle of looking for parking. The apartment is has quality furnishings and linens and thoughtful details. Lovely hosts avsilable but afford privacy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2nd stay at this carriage house. It is located perfectly for walking throughout Charleston, is quite clean, and has all the amenities you would want. We can highly recommend it. (The owner provides a picture of the spiral staircase from the ground floor to the actual apartment, so be mindful of that if stairs are a challenge for you.)

What a wonderful apartment, in a great location! The apartment has lots of old charm with modern amenities. And the garden is lovely. The host was very responsive to questions we had. Christening Visit

In Charleston for our granddaughter’s christening. What a lovely spot, light-filled and with a beautiful garden. Also the most magnificent sycamore tree I’ve ever seen. Our hostess was friendly and gracious, and it turned out that we have friends in common. Altogether a delightful visit.

Beautiful area close to restaurants and shopping on King street. Very clean with nice amenities (sheets towels etc). Bed very high and hard to get into. Very tight stairs on entry. Parking $25 a day 2 blocks away.

Cozy, comfortable. & the perfect location. The apartment was clean, beautifully furnished & had everything we need for our stay. The garden is lovely & we enjoyed sitting outside in the evening . There is a set of narrow spiral stairs to reach the apartment from the entry if you are mobility challenged. The location was great for walking wherever we wanted to go downtown. The neighborhood is quiet & safe. Street parking at night wasn’t an issue during our stay. Would love to stay again

Terrific home base to explore and enjoy this wonderful city. South Of Broad is a gorgeous neighborhood and being able to stay in a historically significant location makes enjoying this city even more special. The apartment is lovely, quiet, comfortable, well maintained, and stocked with everything you might need for a comfortable and convenient stay. Lovely linens, very clean, and a very comfortable bed. I did an extended 2 week stay, it quickly felt like home, and I was a bit sad to pack up and leave. The property exceeded my expectations. Would gladly stay here again and worry it has spoiled me.

Outstanding!

The property was absolutely top notch. The location is just south of Broad Street in a quiet neighborhood. We have stayed in Charleston a number of times at some excellent hotels but this will be our place in the future. The bedroom and sitting room are both very spacious. We did not cook but the kitchen was handy. It is an easy walk to the 82 Queen and Poogan’s Porch restaurants. Communications with the owner was prompt and helpful. Stay here!
