"Beautifully appointed hotel. Service was great and staff were friendly. Our 1 bedroom suite was large and comfortable and was cleaned everyday. There's wine, cheese and crackers at the library area next to the lobby from 5-6 pm nightly, which was nice. There's a complimentary breakfast basket, containing a rotating offering of egg/cheese biscuit or coffee cake/scone with fresh fruit during our 5 day stay. We dined at the in house restaurant once and food there was excellent."

"I almost don’t want to share this hidden gem. Even though this hotel is small, it has everything you need for a great stay at affordable price. Our room was clean and spacious. Our shower broke and they immediately replaced a new shower head. Beautiful courtyard where my husband watched a game while we sat having drinks by the fireplace and listening to a live steel drum singer. The staff was polite and location couldn’t have been better. We will definitely be staying again. The only con is the small size of the pool which felt like bath water. Otherwise, we had a perfect stay at the Ryder Hotel."

"The hotel is in need of some uplifts - the paint is chipped in the rooms, the carpet is shabby, there were some marks on the wall behind the toilet, etc. The breakfast was great - the evening receptions was great, the staff we met were great but the property is a bit off. "

"My husband and I stayed here our wedding weekend. The hotel itself was beautiful and in a great location. I’m an interior designer so I loved the design. However, the only part that wasn’t particularly great was the staff. I expected that staff would be more friendly and willing to help but the overall vibe we got from the front desk staff was “meh.” It was a little disappointing especially since we tried to be kind to them (we even gave the front desk a few extra meals and leftover wedding cake from our wedding night) and told them we had just gotten married. No one was particularly rude but overall the staff fell short of our expectations. Unfortunately it feels like kindness and happiness aren’t valued as highly or seen as part of doing a good job in the service industry anymore."
