"It’s a beautiful property. The staff were friendly and helpful. The spa was very good. They do not provide much in the way of toiletries. They charge for using a bicycle. I have eaten dinner in the main dining room and the meal was excellent. Hiwever, I was unable to get into the dining room this time and dined at the bar, outside. We both ordered a steak and potato meal that followed a simple and delicious salad. Unfortunately, we both found our two a steaks, cooked à point ( medium rare) tough, gristly, and almost inedible. We each left two thirds of the beef uneaten. Such a disappointment."

"The team at Chateau Bonalgue went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Special thanks to Anton for giving us a tour of the property and for answering all our questions on the wine making process. It’s really fascinating ! Our room was quaint and cosy. And it was nice to have access to the large and modern living room 24/7. My husband and I highly recommend a stay at Chateau Bonalgue to anyone looking for an experience less impersonal than a hotel reservation."

"Joanna as a host was remarkable. She was very prompt with replies, and ensured everything was perfect for our stay. The property was extremely clean, and well suites for a group of 5 with 4 separate rooms all with their own individual A/C units. The kitchen was stocked with all essential amenities and the unit even had a washing machine and drying rack. The unit is greatly placed with 4-5 different wineries in walking distance and a 7 minute car ride to Saint-Émilion. A return trip is in the works for next year! Thanks again Joanna!"

"An amazing property in the heart of the wine region in Saint-Emilion. The accommodations were excellent, the kitchen was extremely well equipped for any style of cooking and cuisine. The bedrooms were all comfortable and extremely spacious. I would highly recommend the Chateau!!"

"Ibis Budget is for simpler travelers. No fuss hotel with minimum amenities in the room to be efficient (i.e. meet basic needs). Close to some restaurant and a public beach. Good self-service breakfast."
