Recommended. stay 4 nights, Room was way bigger than the average European hotel, cleanness was as expected and the staff was very helpful with all my requests, location is great with the tram right in front of the hotel, i would prefer to stay closer to the city centre, but i even walk from the city friday and saturday night and it takes like 25 mins, lot of bars and restaurants open late felt very secure walking from the city, an uber charge 12 to 15 dollars from the city, will stay again

Staff was very courteous. Hotel is very clean and comfortable although the room is quite small. The main issue has to do with finding the boutique hotel in a small street and parking, even temporarily, to unload your car. The hotel parking is an extra charge but, it is quite a walk from the hotel. If I had travelled without a car, I probably would not have been inconvenienced as much. But, as I said the room was very clean and staff very helpful.

This will ever be known as the chateau of Josephine Baker.
She had been a singer of international renown with an extraordinary career. Born in the States in 1906, she emigrated to France and became a citizen in 1937 when she married a Jew, but not before knowing the street life in America where she’d had to sleep in cardboard shelters and scavenge in garbage bins.
For ten years she was the lead in the Folies Bergeres, and admired by all who saw her. Shirley Bassey once said, “I swear in all my life I have never seen, and probably never shall see again, such a spectacular singer and performer."
During WWII She won the Croix de Guerre for her work with the French Resistance. When the Germans invaded France she moved to the chateau where she helped Belgian refugees and ultimately adopted 12 children.
She was the first Afro-American to star in a major motion picture
