Top Château de Montreal Hotel Reviews
Old farmhouse renovated in a 3 hectares estate in Dordogne
10/10 Excellent
"A lovely break - the house was pretty much as described. The pool is great - the outside eating space is fantastic and there are 3 big fridges to keep everything cold. The living accommodation is great and it really is a lovely house. Tennis court is in good nick - but bring your own racquets and balls as the stuff there is not great.Thierry - who sorts out any issues was great and really responsive. A few small negatives - the oven is pretty useless and I see that previous reviews have mentioned this - a low cost solution that would make things easier for guests. Secondly - there are no restaurants within walking distance as in the description - but some good ones a short drive away. Finally - you have to pay to use the bikes in the photos - 20 euros a bike - just so you are aware these are not included. "
"Our Villa stay was absolutely wonderful and entirely memorable for both ourselves and our family. 13 of us stayed for seven nights and we absolutely loved every minute from beginning to end.
The village of Issac is very small and pretty making the setting of the villa a beautifully quiet and tranquil place to be.
We were warmly welcomed on our arrival and shown around the immaculate property. We were blown away with the size and décor of the rooms; also, the cleanliness and the amount of high -quality utensils.
Our amazing host Isa, had thought of everything. As we had a two year old, she had made up a travel cot and a high chair. All beds had fresh and comfortable linen with soft towels in all bathrooms.
Inside, large bedrooms with bathrooms either ensuite or nearby was perfect for four families sharing. 2 large kitchens and 2 sitting rooms with tv/dvd etc. Terracotta tiled floors throughout, making it easy to keep the villa clean. A large dishwasher and washing machine was perfect with so many of us.
We had access to all areas outside, including a very large grassy area where the children played volleyball and on the trampoline. There was a barn area with table tennis, footballs. The villa gives the most amazing views across the stunning valley.
The heated swimming pool was gated and well equipped with table, chairs and plenty of sunbeds/umbrellas. All surrounded with sweet smelling lavender. It is certainly a place we would like to return to in the future.
