Single no frills overnight stop.
Overnight stop on the way home. Booked a cheap, basic, no frills accommodation and that is exactly what we got. Tiny room, very thin mattress. The auto’ check in system failed and we had to go away and come back 2 hours later when someone was available to help sort out the issue.

The meal choice was very limited but in December with only one other couple staying at the hotel this was hardly surprising.
