"We had a long drive and we were met by both Bernard and Martine, they were very welcoming. Their place is lovely right on the river and what a view! We loved the balcony and sat watching the local fisherman fishing for salmon. Their place has been carefully decorated and we had everything we needed. It was very chilling being by the river and we had many walks along the the river. We climbed the puy de dome and loved Clermont Ferrand which was a lovely city. "I had not properly read that there would be no towels. We have not experienced this before. We had arrived by air so carrying those is not practical. Thankfully we were close to friends who helped us or we could not have had a shower after our long journey as there were no shops near. I wish they would be provided for other travellers like ourselves. We were told it was because of Covid but bed linen was provided and we could not understand the difference! Everything else was perfect."
