"When we arrived no one was there. We found out 1 door was open. The house was not clean, sticky floors, dirty tablecloth and dust nets every where. Even in the shower. 2 days later we met someone, when we told her about the state of the house she reacted a little bit annoyed. The house is situated beautifully in a quiet environment. There is no washing machine and no WiFi. Maybe something to think about in the future. We spent a week at the house and had a good time. It is a pitty the house...

"Logement loué dans le cadre de la Velo Francette. Logement très propre et literie confortable au rez de chaussée d’une maison salle de bain refaite à neige agréable. Attention à bien regarder le trajet avant d’arriver à vélo (nationale très dangereuse avec des enfants nous aurions aimé être informés) pas d’emplacement spécial sécurisé pour les vélos et réveillés tôt le matin par les travaux du jardin. Pour le reste nous avons très bien dormi!"

"De passage pour le V&B Fest je cherchais un logement à distance raisonnable pour faire le trajet à vélo et ça correspond parfaitement.Il y a une voie verte sécurisée qui va jusqu'au parking vélo donc le trajet se fait sans problèmes Concernant le logement, c'est très propre et récent, le lit est confortable.Et Alexis est hôte sympathique, j'ai passé un excellent séjour chez lui. "It was a lovely little gite, in a nice peaceful area, with beautiful scenery. Situated close enough to Chateabriant to be convenient for sightseeing/shopping/meals out, but far enough to be peaceful and relaxing. The host, Melanie, literally could not do enough for us. She was incredibly friendly, informative, gave us good recommendations for places to eat, even did our washing for us! The gite itself was neat, clean and very cool, which was greatly appreciated in the middle of a heatwave. We definitely hope to be back!"

"Our night at the Chateau had to be the single most memorable night of our trip. I loved it; my other half was a bit freaked by it all. The property is a long way from anywhere down a stone road. The wildlife is incredible (I’ve never heard an all-night frog chorus before and the deer roam freely through the meadows). It is basically a private house offering rooms and a basic breakfast- not a hotel… it’s very much like taking an Air BnB room. The owner is a character but speaks virtually no English- this isn’t for you if you’re not able to get by in French. The house is unique, and speaks of grandeur in the way that old piles do. It felt like spending the night in a National Trust Manor House before they’ve done it up. If you want a night in deepest Anjou where you’re left to yourself to explore a chateau and can sit drinking wine under a tree with a cat purring on your lap, this is worth a go. If you’ve got young kids, you can’t speak much French or have mobility issues (there’s a spiral staircase), stay somewhere else. "

"Hired the chateau with 30 friends who have not seen each other in a long time. This was one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed at; I honestly never thought I'd stay somewhere as grand. The communication was great and the photos don't do it justice. All the rooms are ensuite and there's a lot of social space for everyone. The hardest bit was getting everyone together in one place! Thank you for a lovely stay :)"
