Stay went well. A noisy barking dog in the house next door was a bit annoying ! Shower & bathroom were very small - but just about manageable. Check in / out was swift (didn't even get billed for the city/local tax)...

Good value but it is an old property which needs TLC and there is no lift and rooms are over 4 floors with only a spiral staircase to reach higher floors. Staff were very pleasant and the room was clean although the carpet had multiple stains on it.

Small but perfect, with excellent beds
This is a super budget hotel... it’s small but very very clean and the beds were more comfortable than some five star hotels we stayed at. The parking was on the street, safe and available. Recommend the breakfast-and the host spoke perfect English and was very hospitable

Central location with helpful reception.
Very helpful receptionist. There is secure parking but I didn't use it. The hotel is near the centre of the old town where there are good dining options. The only criticism I have is, that for fat people like me, there was a struggle to access & exit the shower! Didn't try breakfast as we had to leave early. Good wifi too.

We were very disappointed in this hotel. It is extremely shabby inside and out and although the room was clean the common parts are not and the stair carpet grubby and worn. Our bathroom facilities were a loo in a tiny cupboard and a basin and shower in another and there were just two coathangers on a wall, no cupboard at all. The manager was friendly when we arrived, this aspect was completely correct.

Good hotel in Cherbourg
Quite a good hotel and a welcoming and friendly host. A good central location down a nice quiet street but near everything. Would consider going again. The room was a little small as was the en-suite but i was out most of the time exploring so still a comfortable place to rest your head. Parking outside and nearby is free.

Lovely hotel in the heart of Cherbourg
Beautiful hotel and friendly staff who went above and beyond to accommodate me and my partner. Fantastic location. Will definitely stay here again

Lovely owners
The owners of this hotel are really welcoming. It's what you'd expect from a 2star hotel but with a good breakfast and comfy room and good location. The shower head fixture was broken was only downside.

The quality is reflected in the price but for a convenient basic hotel it was fine. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Bit disappointed with the breakfast which was extra, was expecting croissants at least but then the French do seem to love their white baguettes!

It was a good hotel for just one night in Cherbourg. The wi-fi worked well. Room was a bit small (I do back exercises, on the floor....not easy with little floor space !)...

Great for a stop over
We've stayed here several times and always found it friendly and clean. Very convenient if staying in Cherbourg for a night for a ferry the next day. Rates are good and breakfast is fine. Free wifi makes even better value.

Generally a lovely place to stay, 5 minutes walk from the town centre, a homely hotel.. We would go back, The managers were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was simple and delicious, in a quirky dining room. I have 2 points against - the bed was very firm indeed, and the tablecloth in the room, although clean, was stained. Overall, good value for money, and I have already recommended the hotel.

Old school hotel w/ value
Funky old school place. Room was small. Location was great. Croissants and coffee were superb. Proprietor nice and helpful. Price was cheap. Businessmen stayed here. Good value. Not a place where you'd want to stay in your room - if you get out and about and just sleep in your room, just great. I stayed 3 nights.

Hotel is well located but not suitable for arriving by car. No parking close by and difficulty stopping by hotel to unload baggage. However, this would appear to be true for most hotels in the area. Room was clean and more than adequate.

It doesn't offer luxury but it's clean, comfortable and convenient for central Cherbourg. We always park in the Town Hall car park which is close and inexpensive. Overall the Beausejour is probably the best value in town.

Séjour dans le cadre du travail
Venue dans cet hôtel dans le cadre d'un déplacement professionnel, j'ai trouvé l'hôtel très "vieillot" un bon rafraichissement de l'ensemble du bâtiment serait à prévoir. Ma chambre était grande, par contre sous les combles sachant que les températures à l'extérieur était très chaudes, la nuit à été longue (un ventilateur aurait était sympa), la moquette de la chambre était très sale ainsi que les toilettes de la salle de bain, idem pour les vélux qui sont moisis par l'humidité et les vitrages non doublés. Par contre points positifs tout de même la literie était confortable et le grand monsieur de l'accueil très serviable et gentil.
