“The Magnolia House” LakeFront Compound Sleeps 58+! Pool, Hottub, kayaks, &more!
10/10 Excellent
"I can’t even express how much wonderful everything was at this venue. It exceeded our expectations for our entire weekend of wedding fun. From camp games to flower arrangement classes the group enjoyed every inch of the property. Between the pools and hot tubs there was even some time to relax prior to the big event. Thank you again for having us and we will be back for future events."
Country Cabin...We have cleaned the cabin top to bottom! Get out of the city!
10/10 Excellent
"We had such a nice stay at this country cabin. It was very peaceful and the place was comfortable with everything we needed. The highlight was getting a visit from Mr. Earl- in the rain no less. Teresa, your daddy is such a sweetheart. That was the first time a house host ever came for a stop on one of my stays. He was a pleasure to spend time with and to learn from him about the area and the property. We look forward to coming back."
Mountain Cabin on the Chief Ladiga Bike Path, Terrapin Creek, and Pinhoti Trail
8/10 Good
"Really nice quiet property nicely appointed. It is off the Chief Ladiga Trail, about 1/2 mile on a residential gravel road. There is limited to no cell service at this junction on the bike path, so recommend you have the property instructions and directions readily available such as a screenshot. We had to ride 1 mile towards town to obtain cell service to get the directions and checkin information. Host did personally show us a trail shortcut to the C.L. Trail that included nice views and avoided the gravel road. Do note, if you are a cyclist , the address is Piedmont AL, however, Piedmont is 5.7 miles away to the west(?), and a 20-30 minute bike ride to get supplies and meals. Just be prepared that you are not really near town. Would recommend a stay here otherwise !"
"The location was great. Just a short walk to the river. The staff was great. My only complaint was the size of the bathroom. I had to back my legs up to the toilet just to open the door to get out or close it once inside. The shower controls also didn't work well with half the water still coming out of the bottom faucet. Probably because the shower head was clogged up about 50% . The breakfast bar was not to my liking as the only protein was chicken sausage."
Lake life at its best. Lots of options for activities. Very pet friendly!
10/10 Excellent
"We genuinely enjoyed staying here. Everything is clean, easy to access, and well maintained. The best part was how dog friendly it was. It’s rare for such a nice place to allow dogs and I’m grateful I could bring mine. I’d stay here again, anytime!"
"We were needing somewhere for one night and wished we were staying longer. We stayed in a classic cabin (small) but was amazing. Extremely clean and and everything we need for two people. The grounds were kept very well and staff was very helpful. We will definitely go again and if staying longer get one that's bigger but if you just need a night or two, the classic is fine."
