The owner was really welcoming and lovely to talk to. I can see that this family owned business is really trying to make it work, and teddy bears are cute.
But unfortunately, I wouldn't stay there again, unless they fixed up the somewhat mouldy areas of the bathroom and the ant problem.
I went on a day tour (2,700 baht) with a tour guide (even though very lovely) that spoke very minimal English. Respect the local, but it would've helped if the tour guide spoke a little bit more English as I wanted to ask questions and couldn't because they couldn't answer them. Also, the tour included a boat ride over the border to Lao which I needed an original passport for (but didn't have), they didn't really accept photocopy version to be scanned, still got to cross for 30 minutes but cost me 800 baht (extra) opposed to the 30 baht I was told by the tour guide. A lot of miscommunication between me and the tour guide, it also would have been nice if they outlined in their tour packages that an original passport was required for that particular tour, considering I thought it was just a visit to the golden triangle not actually take a trip over to Lao. And also that extra fees for entry to certain attractions are not included with the 2,700 baht fee.
The staff, friendly and egar to help, also had minimal English so made it a bit difficult to communicate clearly what I needed.
The cafe and food however was pretty delicious.
