No swimming pool in hotel as written. Breakfast was very simple. The price is too high for such a hotel. Half price would be ok.

Staff great. Location odd. No pool @ hotel. :-(

Before booking, confirm you're comfortable with the location of this hotel: Chiasso is a very quiet suburb closer to Como than anywhere else. It is roughly 5 minutes to Como by rail and 25 minutes to Lugano. Second, the pool and fitness facility are not part of the hotel. There is a public pool and a private pool/fitness facility. The public pool is 5-10 francs per person and the fitness facility runs considerably more expensive, depending on what you want to do there. This was a big disappointment, and if I had known what I eventually found, I would have considered something different. This review is not more harsh, though, because the staff were among the most open and friendly I encountered on my trip. If you have time and want recommendations about Ticino or the lakes around Como, they would do their best to help you. Breakfast was pleasant. Room was simple, but quite clean.

Very nice stay

It was a great stay. Easy to get to from the station (I had luggage but I could walk there, no hassle). The hotel staff very helpful and cordial. Milan is about 40 minutes away and it costs around5.50 CHF each way. And Como is even closer.
