The beds were some of the most comfortable hotel beds we've ever slept in! A little too comfortable as we overslept but if that is the worst thing that happens on a trip, we definitely can't complain. The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here when in Chicago.

tl;dr - Great but lacking. I’m always amazed at the choices made by new ownership of an old building. There’s always a Frankensteinian element present in the finished product. Many mysteries exist in this weird building; I’ll stick to the highlights. This building was built with six elevators. It NEEDS six elevators, but there are only three in use for some reason. So, on every floor, there are three unusable elevator doors. During my stay here, virtually every use of the elevators was accompanied by a wait of several minutes, like five or more. The other three doors are still present and visible, reminding guests that this was a choice. My biggest issue was with the staff. The only person that seemed to like his job was the doorman. He always had a smile and helped when he could. It was nice to see him every day. Virtually everyone else, however, seemed to hold at least some contempt for both their position and the guests they are paid to service. I needed assistance a few times throughout my stay, and when it was requested, I was met with resistance, objections, and a surprising amount of delays every time. On a more positive note, the gym was complete and clean, if a little isolated. The dinner theater built into the hotel adds a neat and convenient tourist activity. It’s fun. In closing, it wasn’t terribly expensive place to stay, but I’m still not sure I got my money’s worth.

I don’t feel I can leave a bad review because it was clean, affordable and in the area that made our trip very walkable. The downsides was the bed had a super thin scratchy blanket instead of a comforter and I woke up repeatedly throughout the night from loud banging noises from the HVAC or maybe just the ice machine outside our room lol Overall it was nice and I would stay again if the price was right.

Had a great time! Haven’t visited Chicago for years. All location is really great in my opinion. The lakefront, museums, Dinners with friends, etc. I really enjoyed the modern rooms. The big shower felt luxurious.

You cant beat the location of the property. What I didn't like is that another guest wascsmoking in their room. It smelled into our room as well as the hallway.

The housekeeping option did not work out that well. Bathroom amenities were nil and toilet paper was not even restocked without asking. (Kinda important.) There was a strange banging sound that came from the next space -- a door? Stairwell? Room was spacious -- for wheelchairs. Bed was comfortable. Just have to figure out the housekeeping situation.

I’ve given most of my feedback before, but most of my concerns were about the cleanliness of my room. I had a filthy (used) pillow on my bed; my cover/quilt was thrown in the closet with no bag (which, also didn’t seem very clean); and while understanding the age of the building, the hallways are dark, eerie, and uncomfortable to walk through alone. Lastly, paying valet parking prices to have to walk to a parking garage that’s not connected to the hotel is a little frustrating. I don’t think this showcased well on the website. The best part of my experience were the staff, who were all extremely polite and responsive!

This is our go to when we come to Chicago for a Broadway show… great location. It is a comfortable & clean hotel for the price point. It’s not a quiet area, so there is a lot of City noise.

The location is pristine! It is close to most of the major attractions around downtown Chicago. The room is decent, it’s not a top tier hotel, but it is decent and clean and does the job (a decent place to stay). I would stay here again.
