"This property was very clean, cozy, and in a very nice area! Comfortable bedding, plenty of room inside, and the train station nearby offered convenience and great white noise. The small touches like having my name on the door was very surprising, especially since we booked on super short notice!"

Relaxing hot and beautiful 4 bed, 2 baths in peaceful area

"Here is a condensed version of the document, aiming for around 1500 characters:Review of rental: Communication was good, but the house was problematic. It looked abandoned with overgrown shrubs and a "Beware of Dog" sign. Jessica, the host, was finishing cleaning upon arrival due to a late checkout. The living room had an 85" TV but only one lamp with no shade. One couch was broken. The dining room had a table and a makeshift hutch. The kitchen was odd with mismatched items; no coffee pot for the brewer, mismatched dishes, a broken trash can lid, no wine opener, no dishwasher detergent, and limited silverware. The fridge beeped with a filter light. The downstairs bathroom had a broken towel rack, a light bulb out, cobwebs, an unlatching door, and a weak shower. There was no soap. Smoke detectors were missing or not working. Bedroom doors had broken doorknobs, locking guests in. There were no dressers and limited outlets. Bugs were found in a light fixture. Ants invaded food on the table. There was no extra trash liner or paper towels. The back parking space was unusable. The reviewer recommends immediate repairs and proper outfitting of the property. After informing the host, the host became hostile."

Family trip to Soldier Field

"Communication with host was excellent. There were several guest # changes and host was very flexible. House was clean and well maintained. Great back porch and yard. We used the gas grill provided and the kitchen was stocked well with dishes, pots and pans, etc. A hot tub was in the listing, but there was no hot tub which was disappointing. The neighbors were friendly and there was public transportation close by. Would definitely book again if we ever get back to Chicago. "
