Nightmare. Within hours of leaving they used my credit card information to steal hundreds of dollars in purchases. it's a roach motel and scary.

#1 Nightmare Hellscape in Palatine
OK this place is awful! At check in, the manager repeatedly admonished me for "being late" (plane landed at 12:10 and I was there at 12:45) and I was forced to apologize. Then he threatened to tow my rental car because I didn't have the plate number memorized. When I went to get my bag, was told there were "NO In and Outs!" and I was escorted to my car by the manager who stood there intrusively as I gathered my things. In the room, first thing I saw was a puddle of standing water on the bathroom floor which I wiped up with a towel, only for it to return in a couple hours--more on this in a minute. The entire room REEKED of cigarette smoke and there were cigarette burns on the sink and elsewhere. Asked for a 10 am wake-up call and promptly received it at 9am. Due to the pipe leak in the bathroom, some of my clothes that I had set out for the next day got wet. Reported this to the front desk and they immediately offered to wash them for me. However had to wear yesterdays clothes again since they didn't dry them and received my clean clothes wadded up in a plastic bag, even wetter than before. Then tried to take a shower and the drain was completely clogged. Finally when I was leaving, the manager had the cops there, was unnecessarily angry and threatening yet again to tow cars from the lot, which at the time looked about 10% capacity. Nightmare.

Place was pretty nice and clean but they made me pay a $100 deposit that was nowhere explained and i either pay that or loose what I had already paid for the room, other than that it was a good stay

My husbands truck got towed !!!!! Even after the parking pass was seen in the window , management is very unprofessional. Blamed it on us . Refunded me half my deposit!!!!! Front desk was no help !!!!!!!! And was told every Saturday she’s having card towed

People screaming at each other in the lobby for at least 30 minutes. We needed a plunger and had to go to the front desk to get it and they made us bring it back down. Definitely not smoke free!

The only thing that i didn't like had to do with Expedia. My reservations for my 2nd and 3rd nights did not go through to the hotel. Since Expedia doesn't have a customer service number it nade things difficult. Only the superior service by the Red Roof front desk staff saved the day .

The room was awful it had mold in the bathroom shower and holes in the wall and it smelled we had to open windows to air it out. Plus cigarette holes in the blanket. Bed was comfortable. But i wont stay here ever again. People slamming doors all night and early morning it kept waking me up.

I guess I got what I paid for. Property looked like somewhere I would bring a hooker. The entrance had what looked like a hazard with material about to fall on someone’s head. Lobby smelt musky, hallways smelt like weed. I asked the front desk and he was just like “yea people smoke”. Room and bathroom was nice tho but with a slightly off smell. The room was spacious and had decent furniture. But the linens were in absolutely horrible condition. The towels were tiny, thin, and covered in stains. The sheets and blankets were tattered with cigarette burns and rips, and stains as well. They really need some new linens...

Room was gross. Toilet from upstairs leaked when it was flushed. Dirty Q-tips on the floor by the bed. Towels were small and hard. And house service would only give us 2 towels for 4 people!! And for non smoking the whole second floor stunk of smoke! I will never ever stay again!

Seen a mouse running around in my room. I told the front desk and they didn't act surprised. They did nothing. They never came in to change trash or see if we needed any towels or anything. When I checked in, the associate at the front desk was rude when talking me about the security deposit, in case something is broken during our stay. I told her how do you know whether something was broken during my stay or before me? She responded that the room was already inspected. I asked her to inspect the room together, she declined. As I walked out, I told her I needed more towel. When I came back at 11 PM, there was no extra towels. The next day, I left hopping that my room will be serviced. I came back in the night and found it was not. That is when front desk told me that guest have to come to front desk and ask towels to take to their rooms, and that per their policy the next housekeeping service for my room was Monday ( I checked in Friday.) The guy pointed at notice on the Front desk window, which I did not read because I am not supposed to be reading all the paper I see stuck on wall. They can also tell guests all these upon check in. The hallway and the elevator smell cigarette like and at the point that the smell stick to your clothes. This was the worse thing during my stay (I was in non smoking room and did not smell anything in my room-which was good.)
