The Holiday Lake House - 2br 2bth - 50 steps from the beach!

  • If you enjoy the holidays, this is the place to be! This amazing property is perfect at any time of the year; however, if you are traveling between mid September - early January, you will be welcomed by a festive holiday display on the front exterior the property. The space itself offers 2 bedrooms and 2 amazing bathrooms with higher end finishes. Beautiful modern upgrades throughout. Large kitchen with quartz countertops, which provides seating for 4. The building has a shared large patio with lake views in the front the building. Bath 1 has 4 body sprays and a powerful rain head and Bath 2 has a jetted bathtub/shower combo. In unit laundry & supplies. Walking distance to bars, restaurants, Starbucks, Loyola and the Red line train station. On site garage parking for 1 small to mid sized car is avail. for an addl. $25 daily fee; however, you must reserve at booking and send vehicle make/model. If your car is greater than 200” in length, please reach out to host well in advance to confirm if your vehicle will fit. We have access to a second garage space that is slightly bigger; however, the space gets booked up quickly, so you must confirm well in advance. For those who have larger pick up trucks, you will likely have a difficult time finding a place to park, as Chicago is dense and parking is limited; however, please reach out to the host and she will check to see if there are alternative parking options available. Exterior security cameras are present at the property. The camera locations are (2) in the front of the building, (2) on the east side, (1) on the west side of the building and (2) in the alley on the garage. The front door intercom also has a camera with audio capacity built in to the intercom system. There are no cameras in the interior space. Lots of games to play and books to read! This is a perfect place for visitors to come explore the city, while enjoying our amazing sunrises on the beach. Come visit us and experience all the best Chicago has to offer!

Great place for visiting Loyola

The location was great for our visit of Loyola. It's walking distance to the school, a few restaurants, and close to the L. The property is clean, the beds are comfortable, and it was one of the best "stocked" VRBOs we've ever stayed in.

Wonderful stay!

Great Location and Great Host

We were so happy with the location. The lake is right at the end of the street, the leaves were changing and the weather was perfect for us after a very long and hot Arizona summer. The host Diane was great. We would definitely book again.

Lovely and Convenient!

Home is lovely and resides just north of the L-Red Line so it was really easy to pop into downtown Chicago without issue! We stayed here with our three kids and it was a beautiful, well maintained rental! Additionally, the owner was a gem and very communicative!

Wonderful - would absolutely come back again!

So clean and welcoming with a terrific location just steps from a lovely beach! The property was very clean, comfortable and well-kept, and looked like the kitchen and bathrooms had been recently re-done (loved the tile and fixtures!). The shower in the master is a spa-like experience! Great communication with the owner, too. So happy with our stay, and we would absolutely look forward to saying here again!

The location of the property is located in a neighborhood setting that was wonderful to take a walk and explore. Close to the Chicago Transportation Authority metro and unique eateries for breakfast and lunch. The properties furnishings and home away from home style was nice to call homebase.

Perfect stay.

Overall we were extremely happy and comfortable here. The close proximity to the beach was phenomenal and our dogs loved their walks. Unit is stocked with everything you need. Host was gracious and helpful. Unfortunately, we were unable to maneuver our SUV into the garage, but we easily found nearby street parking. Will likely stay here again!

Amazong Lake Location

We loved our stay at the lake side home with amazing amenities. So clean and set up is amazing. Diane provided us with beach chairs and they works so well! Would definitely recommend for any beach going people. We also went to the Cubs game and the red line is just a couple blocks from the home. Great location and great host!!

Great Communication, very detailed instructions on accessing the property. Now for our stay, my wife and I just loved this neighborhood. Hello Lake Michigan

We enjoyed walking to and along the lake, the great mural project, the view of downtown from the pier, easy "el" access, and the sparkling, modern interior of the unit, which had a fantastic array of kitchen equipment. I particularly appreciated the full spice drawer and coffee filters etc.

Annual Friend Adventure

My east coast BFF and I meet some where in the States each year. This year we selected Chicago. We ended up staying at the Holiday Lake House! It was amazing. We were close to the beach, close to the city, close to neighborhood bars and restaurants. Communication was easy! Everything was wonderful.

Wonderful Week in Chicago!

This wonderful VRBO apartment was perfect for our Chicago vacation! The location was amazing: beautiful, safe neighborhood just blocks from the beach/lake, CTA Red Line, and restaurants. It was clean and tastefully decorated. It was also abundantly stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The property manager was great and very attentive to ensuring we had a great stay! Beautiful Place!

The place was even nicer in person than it was in the pictures. It was extremely clean and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the shower was amazing! It was a beautiful place to come back to each evening. Diane was so friendly and accommodating, and the neighborhood was very nice. We loved seeing the bunnies in the yards and even met a friendly neighbor and her dog. The kids loved the place too, especially because the beach was a very short walk away. It was also a short drive to everything we wanted to see. We loved our stay!

All the comforts of home!

This was a great place to celebrate the holidays. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware and utensils to make Christmas dinner and we had plenty of room to gather for game night. Beds were comfy and all amenities were in good condition. The apartment looks brand new! Loved the shampoo/conditioner/soap dispensers in the shower! Will definitely be back next Christmas. Thanks for the hospitality!
