"I needed somewhere to stay for one night whilst attending a concert in Portsmouth. For a one night stay I usually turn to Travelodge or Premier Inn. They were both unavailable so I booked the Ibis at a cost of £130.00 for the night. The check-in was quite slow. It took the sfatt quite a while to deal with other customers. My room was clean but tiny. There was no room to move around. The batrhroom was the tiniest I have ever experienced. I am. thankfully, relatively slim (save for a bit of a middle aged man belly) but if I was much larger it would have been a struggle to manoevre myself onto the toilet or into the shower. You would need to be on very good terms with anyone you shared this room with and very forgiving of their bodily functions. The bar area was more reminiscnent of a hostel than a hotel. The sitting area is not very comfortable with very basic tables and chairs and some sofas and a pool table. It was perfectly adequate but not a hint of anything more than basic. The beer was relatively cheap and the food was adequate. It was absolutely fine for one night but I was expeting more for what I paid. In terms of room size and quality of the bar area, the Portsmouth central Travelodge ar Premier Inn are better choices."

"The staff were polite and helpful however this is my second visit and both rooms have been as equally disappointing. The hotel has great facilities such as pool/gym/golf course and is well located however the rooms are extremely tired and dated. The trip was rounded off by noticing that my bathroom was covered in what looked like sick at shoulder height along one wall. This wasn’t noticed at check in or I would have requested a change of room. The hotel is solely surviving on tradesman staying over with it location and parking, it’s in desperate need of a renovation and others in the area appear better value."

"Breakfast was a free for all very busy with foods running out for some time before being replenished some people waiting up to 30 minutes for a table In desperate need of soft closing room doors from 6am room doors were continuously slamming Rooms were very clean and comfortable Staff very helpful and busy"

"Stayed for 2 nights. Standard ensuite twin room. Room had everything but was compact somewhat snug. Ensuite was interesting as it was separates by glass part of which could be frosted by a switch. Only a third was still clear which meant it was private. It also had no blinds bringing in too much light. Breakfast was buffet, didnt realise they offered alternative cooked egges or veg options as this wasnt shared but enough food so not to much of an issue. Great pool and jacuzzi etc, had a dryer for swimwear which was handy. Had to pay to use pool whilst ot wasnt to expensive however if staying it would be nice not to be charged. Had a car so was able to explore area. Fantastic weather made the stay that much better. Overall a lovely weekend and staff were very helpful. Plenty of parking and no charnge aftet 5 for tje whole weekend"
