"Terrible experience. Terrible customer care.
The hotel was shut and they refused to refund me.
We (my wife and my 4 year old child) arrived at the location and the gate was shut.
The nice lady who was at the hotel (we were unable to speak to her in the local language) did not let us through the gate then called someone who told me that the hotel was under refurbishment hence shut. He actually suggested us to book an hotel nearby.
I called the German number associated with the hotel and another...

"I was underwhelmed with this hotel and thought value for money was much not as good as other hotels I stayed at in Sri Lanka. Located in the central city area of Trinco, however there is not really much to neither see or do in this area. Suggest you instead look for a hotel on the beach and take a tuk-tuk if you want yo experience the city.
The room was spacious, had AC, but other than that rather basically equipped. I had high hopes for a Sri Lankan breakfast, because staff asked me...
