"Old but honest hotel. Clean and well kept considering it's 50 years old and mostly original. Surprisingly good restaurant for breakfast and lunch. We didn't stay for dinner but I'm assuming it's good as well. Relatively inexpensive overnight parking and overall good value. Good location and nice pool. Our 5th time here and not the last one."

"I don't give reviews but this hotel is one of the best that I've stayed at so I thought I should give a review. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I was walking back to my room and one of the staff greeted me and asked what they could do to make my stay better. The lady who checked us in had given us a tip that you can use your credit card for the metro vs. buying a metro card, which we wished we knew about that prior to purchasing a 3-day pass. We probably would have saved $20 per card had we known that in advance. Frankly I was just happy that I found our way to the hotel from the airport via the metro as it was my first time in DC. The hotel has an entrance right from the metro - Metro Center, which made it so easy to get around to places. We thought my husband lost his sunglasses so I reported it. Mido from security took all the details and they looked through security footage for us. We ate at the buffet for breakfast one day. It was $32 plus tax per person, over $80 total, which was excessive for a buffet. The shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion were of quality. Some hotel products leave my hair dried out, but I actually thought it was moisturizing. We had an interior room that overlooked the lobby, which was pleasant to see. The hotel was very clean and lots of seating in the lobby. I wish I could get whatever scent they had piped into the hallways. So refreshing! As we left today I told my husband, "I'd stay here again" which I never say."
